I'm sorry but you guys just don't get it. Democracy is at stake. If Putin wins the battle the balance of power shifts overwhelmingly towards Russia and China. And the way he Vance acted in front of the camera is completely un presidential. The United States is supposed to be the leader of the free world. This war is over. Russia won it. Period. Full stop.
There's only 2 ways Russian troops leave their dug in positions that they hold now.
1. They just get up and walk out.
2. The United States Marines and Army come and dig them out.

Cali, I fully understand your point of view but also fully disagree.
TLDR: NATO & EU are mooching bitches.
1) NATO membership requires a nation to be free of any border disputes or active wars. Ukraine has always been in dispute over the eastern region and obviously is at war. Non starter.
2) Putin is a murderous d-bag but the reality is NATO broke promises to not expand membership into bordering Soviet era countries and were in talks with Ukraine.
3) Ukraine had/has zero chance to retain sovereignty without US weapons, money, Intel, and command. The front lines have been thoroughly entrenched for 2 yrs now and no amount of money is changing that. The only thing happening is thousands are dieing daily to maintain those lines. Stalemate
4) concessions have to be made to preserve there even being a Ukraine going fwd. The ONLY other option is full US intervention which isn't going to happen. So what do we do? Continue throwing our money & equipment away until Ukraine runs out of people and eventually dissappear entirely OR concede territory for a cease fire & a mineral industry which puts US interests & assets on your eastern border? Talk about a security guarantee much better than nato.
5) NATO is the US. Financially & militarily, nato is nothing without us. The EU is a complete joke. TX state guard & reserve units are stronger and more capable than ALL the EU combined, I promise. Since WW2, they have ALL shuttered their militaries and depended on us to police the world all the while publicly bitching about us and bragging about free Healthcare, school, and other social government freebies. Yeah? How about American taxpayers don't fund Europe's security anymore. You pay us, or you pay for your own military as originally agreed.
