I think what FBHORN is trying to say, and I'm paraphrasing here:

MLB used to police itself. If a pitcher plunked your star hitter, the next inning your pitcher went out and plunked there pitcher and order was restored.

I think he's trying to say that different ethnic communities have more insight to their own communities than most outsiders do and he wants to return to the old days where neighbors were allowed to spank another neighbors kid's butt when that kid did something stupid. That doesn't happen anymore because people just turn a blind eye to it because it doesn't directly effect them. BUT in this case, when a member of Islam does something like this, there is blowback on those in that community that truly DO just want to live their life in peace.

Pretty much except for the kid spanking, any parents of any ethnic group will be reluctant to turn their own children into the Police and thus the Parents will deny that any bad existed of their child when in fact they did know he was bad and like clob said diff ethic communities have a lot more insight than outsiders, police ..etc
