With the loss of Jean Delance and the likelihood that Connor Williams is playing in the NFL next year, you have to think Texas will give a hard look at some junior college offensive line talent for the 2018 class, particularly at OT.

I have a few feelers out to some of the higher-ranked guys nationally to see (a) if they've heard from Texas and (b) if they'd be interested in Texas in the event that UT hasn't reached out.

A couple thoughts ...

Two of the highest-rated guys (Tramonda Moore and Anthony McKinney) are committed to Oklahoma and TCU, respectively. No clue yet if they'd listen to UT, but they're obviously open to playing in this region and the Big 12, so if I'm UT, I'm throwing a line out.

ASA College in Brooklyn (NY) actually features three highly-ranked guys (either 3 or 4 stars with offers) - Johncarlo Valentin, Badara Traore, Malik Besseck. Maybe Texas makes a run at a couple of them? Package deal? Dunno, but we've heard that Texas has reached out to Besseck. Waiting to hear back from Besseck to confirm.

Here's one that could be interesting ... Arizona Western Community College's Desmond Bland. Bland is actually the highest rated JUCO OL in the Rivals database (4 star, 5.9 RR) and he's a teammate of UT tight end commitment Dominick Anderson.

I'll obviously let you all know if I hear of anything heating up with Texas and any JUCO OL prospects, but with the way the depth chart looks for 2018 and beyond, trying to find someone who could come in and play right away seems like it could be something the Texas coaches will consider.
