Somebody PLEASE Convince Me

Not a dr., but please do it.

i just got over a fever after two weeks upon being diagnosed Covid positive. Had I had the opportunity, I would have been vaccinated.

It should be a no brainer decision

The people who are not getting it tend to want to remain anonymous and cannot tell you why they would not.

Advocates for vaccination are scientists basing their reasoned opinions on facts and are willing say it loud very publicly with emotion. What do they have to gain except your well-being and that of the public at large?

Which group should a reasonable man listen to?

My brother in law has already gotten part 2 of his (works at a large hospital in Dallas) and he’s fine, just like thousands and thousands of other people.

don’t ever think short term, always think long term. You don’t know what the long term effects will be. People are walking into this blindfolded. On a virus that has a super high chance of survival. Sorry but no thanks.
We know far more about the negative long term effects of the virus than we do the hypothetical negative effects of the vaccine. Get the vaccine.

Well said! A bunch of damn sheep running to get a vaccine that was pushed through quickly. I wish everyone well who gets the vaccine. Hope you don't end up with issues down the road

At my age, there ain't no such thang as long term.

I'm very appreciative of the advice.

Believe it or not, among all the bullshit slung around Orangebloods, one fact remains, we are a family.

I just hope it doesn't make my pecker grow.

And what's the survival rate of the vaccine?

Oh, 100%?

Logic says you take the vaccine.

Right, good thing we don't have to worry about immediate issues like death, or long term issues, like heart complications, with Covid. Whew.

The leading scientists in viruses are getting the shot, Fauci took the Moderna one, that's good enough for me unless he injected a placebo LOL just for show.

I'm getting it as soon as I'm allowed, I'll be in one of the last groups though.

This is not true. We don’t know much about the long term side effects of either. Covid-19 is a novel virus that’s been around for approx 15 months. We have 0 longitudinal data beyond that. The same can be said of the vaccine. No side effects within a month of getting the vaccination means nothing. If significant side effects were present in the short term it would still be in the clinical trials phase.

There is nothing wrong with people picking either side as you are in the dark either way. While we can’t say anything with 100% certainty, I am fairly certain the vaccine will save many, many lives. The real question is, for those in the low risk category is the benefit in the short term worth the long term risk of what the vaccine may do. Odds are you are better off with the vaccine, but this is a free country and no one should be forced or shamed into anything.

If Moderna vaccine, Need to worry more about making your pecker glow then grow.

The virus has a very low percentage of death, but it is amazing the people it kills. I had a 62 year old friend who just passed away. Very healthy guy. I've known reality unhealthy people get it and have little to no effects. I got mine yesterday. This is from a guy who has never taken the flu shot.
