Good Lord. Each and every time it's this. The "pumpers" are a case study in projection of their own behavior onto others. Well done, guys. I don't agree with everything Cosell has a take on, but to not notice the hypocrisy in this thread so far would be a disservice, IMO. I'll await a flame.

very well put, hornbacker. thanks for putting into words what so many of us feel. i have been struggling with pretty much exactly the same emotions. this place used to be my refuge. its not any longer.
the bullies of the board are cowards. they snipe from behind the veil of anonymity and bring nothing to the place but ugly, hate filled rhetoric.
ketch, you need to step up and take out the trash. the guys that constantly break the rules need a long timeout. not a week, not a month. longer than that. we can help you with the names if you need the help.

Meh, I don't get too bothered by others on here. There are idiots on here, to be sure, but nothing that makes me want to leave, or "take a break." I love coming here. Nobody in my real life even halfway understands my fanaticism. It's nice for me to gather with like-minded people and cuss 'n discuss the goings on. I get pissed at others from time to time, but it feels good to get away from the day to day grind of real life.
Well, I want to apologize to you for calling you a POS. My frustration with your posting got the best of me.
fans are frustrated and expect to see a good product on the field...I admit I've become cynical about the situation after having to listen to the current HC spew excuses and rhetoric about major problems within the team.
Pretty disappointed in a lot of guys on this thread whether I agree with you or not. No matter who you think is ruining the board it doesn't give you the right to hurl personal insults at people. Most of you guys doing it have been here long enough to know better.
That is not the situation. You are correct, there are two camps: Those that want Mack gone and never stop posting their negative crap over and over; jumping in on every positive thread to spew their poison. And the other camp that also would like to see a coaching change, but has accepted the fact that the decision makers have decided to give Mack another year. Those of us who feel that way still want to support the program, talk about next year, etc... without having to have the naysayers bring their negative perspective to every thread.
They have a right to post their whining, but damn it is exasperating.
Agree with the OP 100% and am not far behind him on my exit (waiting for sub to expire). There is no doubt that this is not the site it was when I signed up. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for the families and friends of coaches, players, and recruits to deal with the remarks made by "some" OB members. It appears this site is no longer an asset to our program. Squeaky wheel gets all the grease I suppose. Flame away children and see if your kicking and screaming helps to get our HORNS UP!!!
I don't want him to be humiliated. I like Mack, I just expect accountability and no one is beneath being let go if they are not getting the job done. Especially at Texas.
Many people today cannot read or listen to opinions that are different than their own. Apparently OP is one of those folks. It's easy when Texas wins and everyone is happy and positive about that. It shouldn't be surprising that when Texas loses, some are going to talk about that and express their opinions as to why that may be. There are some things one has to acknowledge when you have discussions where ever they are...1) I could be wrong, 2) You could be wrong, 3) We could both be wrong.
Could not agree more with your comments. I am a Longhorn FAN. I want to hang out with like minded people. The site has been pretty unpleasant lately. I'm going to hang in for a while longer though and see if it settles down before I pull the plug though. I will admit that I'm running on fumes though.

You completely miss the point. It has nothing to do with different opinions and the discussions around those. It has to do with the board being reduced to bickering and attacking each others different views. It is one thing to voice an opinion, but there is no need to act like 8 year olds when doing it.
