Sugar Bowl

This UT vs. GA game reminds me a little of the 2013 sugar bowl that featured an SEC team (AL) which had just barely missed out on the playoffs (or BCS or whatever it was that year). AL did not play it's best football in that game.

It's probably nothing, but you guys might get a Bulldog team that's a little unmotivated after missing out on the big show.
We're motivated because we were left out and they set us up with the perfect team to prove it. Kirby is selling this as an important game for next year if we end up in the same spot going into the committee decision. And that could very well be the case with you guys on the other side. Though I do think we should be better next year and you might not be.

I think we will be a hell of a lot better next year. I expect our O-line to be greatly improved. Our QB will be better if he remains upright, and our defense will be better. I like our team next year.

Our team is a gonna be a lot better next year. We were a few close games away from being a 1 loss team this year!

That makes sense, but there's telling yourself you're motivated, and actually being motivated. Two different things.

We'll see man. Hope its a well-officiated game with no injuries on either side.

We will be significantly better next year. QB will be a junior and if one or both Collin Johnson and LJ come back along with the recruits coming in, our offense should be lethal. Our secondary will absolutely be better as well. If the lines improve at all, and I mean AT ALL, then Texas will compete for a playoff spot.

Listen---- if the scouts told Johnson he wasn't going to be a top three round pick, then LJH got told the same thing. They are both coming back.

Since God is a Texas Longhorn and he told me that Texas will win cause OU could beat Georgia and we beat OU, and that Georgia will come out flat and we will get ahead and coast and let them play catchup and work the clock...He also told me that Bama is a machine and should not be messed with this year and that Clemson will get the same treatment that OU did, The Lord works in mysterious ways and I know that he's got his Horns Up! Remember this info is straight from the top!

You're so cute you crawfishing coward. You had the nerve to post an exact score and then when someone calls you out on a bet with YOUR predicted point spread, your yellow belly moves the goal posts. I knew girls like you in middle school. Tell you what broke dude-- it's obvious you can't cover the money on that wager so let's do this--- we lose by more than your spread, I will pay you. You win by less, then you spend three rounds with me in the ring. I'll wear gloves and you can go bare knuckle. What say you now princess?

I'll whip both of your asses at the same time for a 12 pack of Shiners Reg!

I got up a little early to watch some longhorn network and i gotta say im adding the red river rivalry to my bucket list!
I don't know dude...... it's not like that giant cocktail party where other fans are slapping each other on the back all happy and sh!t. I played in the Texas HS all-star game and my room mate went on to play at LSU. After we were done with school, he took me to an LSU bama game. It was impressive. The next year I took him to Texas OU. His response:

"Man----- ya'll really fvcking hate each other. Like, HATE. Like, bomb your house at 2am on a school night, hate."

So why were half the guys on this board pulling for OU over Bama? You know how many Auburn fans were pulling for Bama? Zero is the answer. The hatred between those 2 is beyond comparison. Not in the same ballpark.

All Auburn fans feel about Bama, like Sholz does OU. All of them. It is sick. It is awesome.

I don’t think it was half. But you’re correct. A good number of Texas fans just don’t get it.

OU fans do, though. The vast majority of them never pull for us.

I will be interested to see how OU fans act tonight. A ton of OU fans had been posting on SECRANT prior to the bama game, and surprisingly the vast majority were talking you guys up vs. Georgia.

I am wishy washy on this stuff myself. I was pulling for ou to beat bama, but will be pulling for Georgia tonight. So I probably shouldn't throw stones.

Let it be known I was not in that half--- also, I think the largest reason is because at this point, there seems no end in sight to what Bama is doing. It will end one day, as all things do, but the strangle hold that Bama as on college football needs to change--- and I think most folks want somebody, anybody to step up and end it. Outside of rooting for a meteor or the earth to open up and swallow them both--- you gotta root for someone.

Bailey not playing tonight is HUGE for Texas. That guy could shut down one side of the field and Georgia could have double teamed the other. Texas got a huge break here. Those Texas receivers are really good, so this is a big deal. I think this game will go much like the LSU-UCF game. I think this game is bigger for Texas than it is for Georgia so emotions will carry them for a while, but then I think talent and depth will be too much in the end for Texas to handle. It could turn out to be a good game though.

I suspect these are the Texas fans that have NEVER been to a Texas-OU football game.

When I arrived at UT & met my roommate (he was a sophomore), I asked him who he hated more, OU or Texas A&M? His reply was OU & it’s not even close. He said I would understand & feel the same way after my first October trip to the Cotton Bowl. He was right!!

Bailey bailed. He didn't want to look bad for the NFL by getting repeatedly beat by CJ or LJH. Truth not homerism.

Easy to say after he bails. He would have gotten beat on some, but he would very much of held his own and won far more than he lost. He is a very good corner, and better than any that either one of your receivers have faced. Sam is going to need time to find CJ or LHJ anyways, and I'm not sure he is going to get it.

Georgia is really good at a lot of things, rushing the QB is their biggest weakness.

I'm not overly worried about their d-line because I think we can manufacture a couple scores. What does worry me is their ground game. Hard to get stops when they keep falling forward for 6yds per attempt.

Imo, their rush vs our d decides the winner. Everything else is a wash.
