So with that in mind, let's talk about tax reform.
It seems like there are two major ideas at play for reform. Changing how & how much corporations are taxed. This is with an eye to make American companies more competitive. Namely reducing the tax rate & limiting the taxes to only profits made in the US. The hope is to match other nations who have lower corporate tax rates.
The second major idea seems to be the Birder Adjustment Tax which would make goods that are exported tax free & those imported bear a tariff. This would match other nation's VAT tax which is very common.
Are there any reforms that I'm missing that are on the docket? How do the denizens of the Corral feel about the possibility of tax reform?
