Texas Bowl Game

Uh MM............... not to sound like an a$$hole, but I'm pretty sure I told you that if we stayed healthy at our key positions..... that we would go 9-3.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand we went 9-3. Now granted, I will concede that I said nothing about making the CCG... but we did. I think we are woefully unprepared to play Georgia, but with some smoke and mirrors and maybe a few breaks that go our way, we have a chance of making this interesting.
If we sh!t the bed, that won't be good short term. And it will set us back a bit. Our best bet for short and long term success is to keep it close.......... which will make recruits interested because they'll believe they could make the difference...... or win.

And if we win.... all bets are off regarding the upcoming recruiting season. We could bounce to number 1.

Exactly, 722. If before the season, it would have been known that Texas would be playing in the Big 12 CCG and have 9 wins, everyone would have bought that. Every. One. Texas has gone from 5-7, 5-7, 5-7, 7-6 to 9-4 and playing in a NY6 bowl game. That's impressive the progress and the direction that Herman and the staff have Texas going on. Some people just like to complain regardless of what the results are.

If we would beat Georgia then I think it would help/ give us a boost like when we finished the season to beat Michigan in the rose bowl. Huge game for recruiting and a team boost into 2019

Clob, Is Orlando's D best suited to playing against GA's pro style O?

One question to all of you...where was the pass rush and where was the coverage on the WR? And where was the coverage on the RB coming outa the backfield to the sidelines and cross routes that they tore our asses up on? and who was supposed to cover Goodwin? How ya gonna not let the other team beat ya in the last quarter?

Hook'em

Dude, I watched most of every UT game this year, and every play of both of our games in slow-mo. Here's what I know:

All season, OU killed opposing defenses with its running game. Gashed them. Murdered their souls with 25,30, 40-yard back-breaking, morale-crushing runs. Blowing defensive lineman and LBs out of the box. Over and over and over.

That is, except for two games. Both against UT. Why? Because your D is stout bro. Talented. Athletic. Disciplined. Well-coached. And if you don't want Orlando, send him straight up I-35 please.

Against your defense, we had to rely on probably the best offensive mind in college football, plus a special talent at QB, to make play-after-play in the passing game. Guys making one-handed catches and shit. There's no shame in losing to KM and Riley Flour Bluff Horn.

And did you see some of the hits your guys were dishing out? Crunching, bone-dislocating, I-hope-our-receiver-gets-up kind of hits. Sick man.

You should be proud of your D, because I'm jealous as fvck of it.
