The Aggies running the Texas Division of Emergency Management seems like the root issue with the disaster response in Houston.

In 2019, the Texas state legislature transferred TDEM from DPS to the Texas A&M system. That’s why you see the Aggie flag flying in the background of each TDEM press conference since Beryl made landfall.
