Texas RB Jaydon Blue to enter the transfer portal

He sees the writing on the wall. Baxter is coming in early and him and Brooks are probably going to be 1 and 2 on the depth chart. Most of these kids nowadays fold with any kind of adversity and run away from competition.
O geez. We have the number 1 RB in the country coming in this recruiting class lol. Give it a break man.
Blue at one point was the #1 RB in the country. He is an exceptional talent. Losing him will be the biggest loss of any player in the portal this year. #2 will be Card. We are bleeding talent.
Losing Blue and bringing in Baxter is addition by subtraction. Blue has been pretty disappointing so far. Baxter is good enough to be a day 1 starter and a better talent than Blue. And how exactly is losing Card but bringing Arch Manning not an upgrade lol. Then on top of that we have Malik Murphy. You're grasping for straws.
Also forgot to add that per Inside Texas this morning they are bringing in a portal RB as well.
He's pissed that he didn't get any carries in the bowl game and saw where he stands in the pecking order. Sadly you can't play everyone. I'm bummed too because I think he has a high upside.

We lost a QB who beat 1 power 5 team in 2 years and a RB who couldn't break the 2 deep for the bowl game. I think we will be just fine without those 2 guys considering we have 2 5 star talents coming in at those positions this semester lol.
And who knows...Blue may go off and be a great back for a different school. But you know who is not better than? Baxter.
I don't even think he's better than Brooks. It's impossible to keep everybody. But when you bring in the number 1 RB in the country you probably shouldn't worry much about losing the 3rd RB on your depth chart. And if the report is correct they have a RB in the portal nailed down and the announcement could come soon of who it is.
If we start losing guys to the portal who were starters last year is when i'll start to get a little worried.

I have a friend that coaches at Klein Forest. He's got some guys he knows that coach at Klein Cain where Blue is from and they didn't have a lot of good things to say about him. Supposedly he's a me first type of kid. Probably why he opted out of his senior year of football.

This is from the same guy that claimed losing a RB that has about 5 more carries in college than I do is huge loss. Lol. Consider the source.
Who knows. The average amount of kids in the portal per school is like 10.5 or 11. About what Texas has.
How many were the #1 RB in the nation? He hasn't been given an opportunity to play. Sark has been busy calling incompletions to worthy. Were we expecting him to beat out Bijan and Roschon, really? If he leaves, we have an experience gap.
Baxter is a freshman. Do we need to be starting freshmen? I seem to recall 777 bitching about starting freshmen.
Those rankings go out the door the minute you step foot on campus. And the fact of the matter is he couldn't beat Brooks out. And the RB position is probably the one position I would be least concerned about starting a freshman with because a lot it so dependent on the offensive line.
I personally was not very impressed from what I saw with Blue in his limited playing time. Of course all of this is a moot point now because he's coming back.
In this era of college football you just have to accept the fact you're going to lose talented guys to the portal. If you're consistently pulling in top 5 classes then that should be able to offset the guys you're going to lose.
Our running game did not exist against UW. Our interior line is not good. We let our best interior lineman go to the portal. We continue to have gaps in experienced players due to transfers and it hurts our onfield production. Blue is not being developed and that is the problem. He is a superior talent. His numbers are elite. He would likely transfer to aggy or cougar high where he would be used correctly and beat us next year.

Almost every game we won this year we won with our running game. It was always going to be an up and down season starting 4 underclassmen on the offensive line. Those lumps we took this year with those young guys are going to pay off next season when those guys gain more experience. With all the talent they have brought in the last 2 classes at those positions the offensive line should be a strength of ours in the near future.
As far as Blue, it's hard to develop a guy when he has 2 NFL guys, 1 who is a generational prospect, in front of him taking snaps away from him. He was only a freshman this past year.

We agree. Blue has not been developed. Baxter should not be given a pass. If we can block, then blue will be a stud. That's only if we can block. Year 3 for Sark, pressure is on.
Over a decade of underperformance has us all frustrated. I get it. Lets just watch this coaching group and if they continue to develop talent during next season. If they don't, I'll be on the same bus with you.
Also, there are coaching positions open all over the state for those of you that have all this insight and ability to coach much better. I don't have that skill and love to be able to throw theories out that sometimes end up true and sometimes don't, without any repercussions.
I'm sure CDC will take care of it if it doesn't improve or he will be gone too. Only one team wins it all every year. I'm ready to be in the fight for it all too.
Georgia's coach just said it took them a little while to get to the top because he wanted it to be sustainable. I feel like that is Sark's goal. We get to watch and bitch/enjoy whichever direction it goes.
I like what I'm seeing so far. Yes there is frustration. I hope Worthy hits the road or becomes more intense. But just because I'm enjoying the path we are headed doesn't mean I don't think the negative nellys are wrong.
