TEAM NOTES
• Texas falls to 3-4 on the season and 2-2 in the Big 12 Conference with a loss. The Longhorns are 24-8 all-time against Oklahoma State.
• Today’s game marks the Longhorns’ third overtime contest of the season (1-2). It is their seventh overtime game in school history (3-4) and their fifth in the last two seasons. Today’s game was the third-ever OT game at Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium (2-1).
• Saturday’s game snapped a 35-game streak in which Oklahoma State had scored 20 points or more. Entering today, Oklahoma State had scored in all 24 quarters through the first six games of the 2017 season, but the Longhorns held the Cowboys scoreless in both the second and third quarters.

QB Sam Ehlinger
• Made his fifth start of the season, fourth-most in school history by a true freshman quarterback.
• Completed 22-of-36 passes for 241 yards. Now has 1,419 passing yards on the season, sixth-most by a freshman quarterback in school history.
WR John Burt
• John Burt’s 90-yard reception in the second quarter to set up Texas’ first TD of the day was the longest non-touchdown reception in school history. It was also the 10th-longest play from scrimmage and the longest non-touchdown play in school history.
DE Breckyn Hager
• Had two sacks in the first half, setting a new career high. His previous career high was one sack, seven different times. He totaled three tackles and a QB hurry in the game.
P Michael Dickson
• His 11 punts on the day were a new career high. He totaled 560 yards with five inside the 20 and just three returned for a total of 14 yards. His 50.9 average on the day was the 10th-best in school history.
WR Reggie Hemphill-Mapps
• Totaled two catches, moving into fifth all-time among freshman wide receivers with 31 catches on the season.
LB Malik Jefferson
• Totaled a career high with 14 tackles in the game (11 solo) and added a quarterback hurry. His previous high was 11 set twice earlier this season.
DB Kris Boyd
• Had a career-high 13 tackles and also added two pass breakups.
DL Poona Ford
• Set a career-high with 2.5 tackles for loss and also forced a fumble (third career).
LB Gary Johnson
• Set a career high with eight tackles in the game.
