Texas vs Baylor game thread

Texas' current RPI is 38. Since 2011, the only eligible major conference teams in the top 50 of the RPI to miss the tournament have been Missouri (No.49) and Minnesota (no 50). 94.5 percent of the 200 teams in the top 50 from 2011 to 2014 have made the tournament.

Scott Drew

"Texas is one of those conference teams where their conference record isn't indicative about how good they are. A couple bounces one way and it would look a lot different. I don't think there is any team in the country that doesn't think they're not a tournament team."

Iowa is looking good to beat Indiana on the road. That's fairly big for Texas. That should solidify a 3rd top 50 RPI win for Texas. Indiana might have a little work to do now in order to make the tournament.

Iowa beats Indiana on the road. Good result for Texas, that probably solidifies 3 top 50 RPI wins.

More "bubblish" results that should help Texas tonight.

Dayton beats Rhode Island. Rhode Island should be done.

Florida beats A&M. Man that's a horrible loss for A&M, Florida is #83 in RPI. A&M has 2 wins against a fringe top 50 team (LSU #45 in RPI) and that's it. They should clearly be on the bubble, they have nothing on the resume. A&M better be rooting for LSU to win out because that's all they have on the resume. A&M will probably be around #45 in RPI after it's updated.

Like I said above, Iowa beating Indiana helps on several levels. 1) We now have 3 RPI top 50 wins solidified. 2) Indiana might be in trouble now in terms of making the tournament.

Bomb - whoever the Aggie was that said you were the reverse curse on Texas - may in fact be reverse cursing the Aggies.
