@Ketchum what happens if there are no earth movers in the spring portal. And Sark just has to go ahead a take some bodies to fill the needs but that is basically just it, competition and just hopeful rotation guys.

Will this be a dud of a portal season then? And that they weren't as aggressive with some of the ones this cycle.


Which portal cycle last season had the better bunch, 1st or 2nd ?

Legit concern that there may not be an abundance of talent in the April window.

I didn't log things, but I believe last year the December window had better talent. It's why you saw people overpaying for players at positions like DT in the spring.

A big part of Ohio St's success this year was how many juniors returned for their senior year. Hopefully Sark can get a couple of juniors to return to mitigate some risk in certain areas.

Silver lining is they will replace a lot on defense next year when we play them. Of course they are always loaded but at least a lot will be inexperienced

Wasn't a priority in the first window. Punter was. Maybe that changes in the second window if Bert continues to struggle.

It seems interesting that Jelani McDonald isn't mentioned by Joseph with the safeties. He has played quite a bit this year and seems to have played well and is very physical.

I tend to agree. I like Texas coming into this game with people acting like they have no chance.

This game is taking on some of the same vibes as Sugar Bowl 2018.

It would be nice for Texas to surprise everyone with how well it runs the ball in this game they way it did against Georgia in that one.

Pretty much. Even as a spectator, I haven’t really seen anyone that I thought, man they better go after that guy. Nobody. There’s been a couple guys that I thought would be nice under the right circumstances, but nobody I’m gonna die on a hill for.

There's work to do, but I expect Texas to take a large portal class.

I think this is a balance between giving Auburn confidence heading into potentially 2 huge games where we need his best while acknowledging that we might need an upgrade. I think Banks comments last week were more about posture and confidence than really believing Auburn is “the guy” moving forward.

Hard to keep a guy that wants to go pro. Absolutely Texas would love to have him back.
