Legit concern that there may not be an abundance of talent in the April window.@Ketchum what happens if there are no earth movers in the spring portal. And Sark just has to go ahead a take some bodies to fill the needs but that is basically just it, competition and just hopeful rotation guys.
Will this be a dud of a portal season then? And that they weren't as aggressive with some of the ones this cycle.
Which portal cycle last season had the better bunch, 1st or 2nd ?
All about projection I guessSame nfl who somehow thinks cam Williams is a first rounder lol.
This.A big part of Ohio St's success this year was how many juniors returned for their senior year. Hopefully Sark can get a couple of juniors to return to mitigate some risk in certain areas.
No kicker? Do you have any insight into the thinking there? I know what Jeff Banks said but that surely is to help keep Auburn’s confidence in place for now….but it would be criminal that they don’t bring a kicker in from the portal. Not expecting that. RB maybe, but probably not on OL and maybe not on K.
Wasn't a priority in the first window. Punter was. Maybe that changes in the second window if Bert continues to struggle. No kicker? Do you have any insight into the thinking there? They are set up for a championship run these next 2yrs w Arch
How much more struggle do we need to see? Good grief.Wasn't a priority in the first window. Punter was. Maybe that changes in the second window if Bert continues to struggle.
Ha. I feel ya. Should have been addressed a full year ago, IMO.How much more struggle do we need to see? Good grief.
The kid is shot mentally. It happens to kickers. Hopefully he can get right over the offseason but this year is toast.Ha. I feel ya. Should have been addressed a full year ago, IMO.
Nice, so even if they weren’t legacies we’d still want them? Both are very good. Easy takes.
How do you not take a FG kicker in portal after what we have seen? Could cost us a big game next year, a known issue. Not expecting that. RB maybe, but probably not on OL and maybe not on K.
This game is taking on some of the same vibes as Sugar Bowl 2018.I tend to agree. I like Texas coming into this game with people acting like they have no chance.
Couldn’t agree more. Need that version of QE for 4 quarters x 2. Having success running against osu would be nice too.Michigan, Bama 2022 & 2023, OU sux, OT on Saturday.
That’s the Quinn that can win a Natty…
makes sense as we get further away from Sark's first recruiting class. The bench is strongPretty much. Even as a spectator, I haven’t really seen anyone that I thought, man they better go after that guy. Nobody. There’s been a couple guys that I thought would be nice under the right circumstances, but nobody I’m gonna die on a hill for.
DRaftWhy would Texas not keep Golden? He's been our best receiver, and in light of the above, it seem like a good move to keep him?
There's work to do, but I expect Texas to take a large portal class.I’m prob a little behind on this but are we not getting anyone out of the portal this cycle like we did last year when we got a great haul of players?
1st by a mile.@Ketchum what happens if there are no earth movers in the spring portal. And Sark just has to go ahead a take some bodies to fill the needs but that is basically just it, competition and just hopeful rotation guys.

I think this is a balance between giving Auburn confidence heading into potentially 2 huge games where we need his best while acknowledging that we might need an upgrade. I think Banks comments last week were more about posture and confidence than really believing Auburn is “the guy” moving forward. How do you not take a FG kicker in portal after what we have seen? Could cost us a big game next year, a known issue.
no doubt, at the very leastThere needs to be competition to push Auburn to settle things in his mind one way or the other.
Hard to keep a guy that wants to go pro. Absolutely Texas would love to have him back. Why would Texas not keep Golden? He's been our best receiver, and in light of the above, it seem like a good move to keep him?
