Texas currently reminds me of teams under Sumlin as far as recruiting. Sumlin had great classes but no identity. Great players but didn’t recruit to what you do. Jimbo has come in and said we are winning the trenches. He has done fantastic at o-line and d-line. Stacking running backs and controlling the clock and that is how he has recruited. It seems Texas doesn’t have an identity. They will have to have an identity in the SEC and really recruit in the trenches. Texas in my opinion needs to really focus on the trenches which will draw in running backs and linebackers that get to play with those groups because they make them better. Quarterbacks want to play behind great o lines. That’s no great thinking but maybe something that has been lost at Texas.

Next years class is really heavy on the defensive line. There’s a couple of offensive line recruits we have floating out there that we may end up pulling in. I expect Sark to hit the portal hard in the spring to try and shore up the offensive line.
