South Carolina is god damned terrible. I mean they are just pathetic. Tennessee is stinking up the joint as well. App st is winning and Tennessee just gave up a 4th and 1 at mid field.

Tennessee's qb reminds me of swoopes. He completed one pass over 30 yards last year. 1. Uno. Ein. And app st scored again!

Facts are facts. And right now it is a fact Tennessee is losing at home to a Sun Belt team. There isn't really any anti-anybody sentiments. It just is what it is.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I woulda done differently. They called a pass play that they snapped at around 10 seconds. Either you complete the pass, timeout, field goal. Or incomplete and hail mary. QB may should have just thrown it away and given chance for hailmary, or at least gone for sideline earlier.

I guess they could have called a timeout, thrown it once or even twice with a spike after a completion and then field goal.

Yeah, it definitely wasn't managed correctly. They came out of a timeout before that swing pass. They should have had a second play call ready to go, or the coaches should have at least considered what the next move would be in terms of clock management. Gonna be a tough loss to swallow.

This is the reason why I don't care for preseason polls. You have a team being ranked #9 going against a team who just moved up to FBS and you go into over time, winning by a lucky bounce of the ball from a fumble. From looking at the media hype, Tennessee should've won by 30+ points.
Would any of you guys have Tennessee ranked in the top 20 after this game?
The polls should be put out after the 6th week instead of preseason.

The App linebacker made a great and classic hit on the Tenn QB trying to Jump over and get into the end zone ending in a fumble.On the fumble drill,Tenn wins. I thought most of the night App outplayed Tenn and almost pulled it off being a 30 point underdog.Tenn has gotten a lot of pre season hype and no doubt the 100,000 fans in attendance left feeling lucky to win.

I watched the whole thing, cause I'm crazy like that, so let me illustrate just how bad Tennesee was. In order to even get to overtime:
1. App State missed an EXTRA POINT
2. App State missed a 42 yard field go to seal the game
3. App State had the ball at Tennesse 30 with 30 seconds left and one time out. They managed to run two plays and let time expire, without using the time out. Didn't even attempt an endzone pass or field goal.

It took all of that to get into overtime.

In over time, Tennessee fumbled forward into the endzone and recovered for a TD. The rule in the NFL is that this cannot be a TD on FOURTH DOWN. I'm not totally clear if that is the rule in college. Either way an App State player jumped on it but it ended up between his legs, allowing a Tennessee player who was coming from the other side of the field to jump in and pull it away.

You can use all the cliches you want and pretend this was a good or clutch win, and no doubt the SEC apologists will, but that team looked like two flaming bags of dog poop.
