I was sorry to see that your TE suffered a season ending Achillies heel tendon rupture. What a tough break. I hate to see a young man's dream end so abruptly. Perhaps he can recover from this, but the odds are unlikely.

I am on record as saying that I am in the Horn minority in wanting OU to win all games save when they are playing us because I think it helps both programs. At any rate I wish the young man well.

Are you referring to that receiver Basquine(sp?). Basquine was a walk-on last year that earned a little playing time but didn't really contribute. With the lack of established depth at wr he was probably going to get some playing time this year.

You're selling him short. He was awarded a scholarship after the Baylor game. He played in all 13 games. He started against Iowa State and Auburn
In the sugar bowl. He was the scout teams player of the year in 2014. He was likely to start this year. Oklahoma lost the top receivers from last year. They needed his experience for sure.

No, not selling him short. And yes he was possibly going to start but he does not have the stats to back anything up yet. He's not a proven receiver but he may have more experience than our other possible starters this year and that's a huge concern for me. That's why I'm pretty nervous about the wr position early in the season especially.

I seem to remember him being a nice possession receiver similar in production to Geno Lewis.

When the Big 12 was in North & South Divisions, and there was the BCS, I always wanted OU to lose to us, plus at least one more Big 12 loss. That Bob Stoops was always so lucky when it came to tie-breakers, it seemed.
