War with Mexico/Mexican cartels is coming.
Fentenyl overdoses alone in the US are greater than all of our war dead combined.
The US Navy needs to be looking for SAMS being sent to Mexico from China/Russia.

Does Russia or China send SAMS to Mexico. Not a chance in hell...... there's no possible way to do that.
Now- if you were referring to MANPADs... that presents it's own dice roll. There's only a few systems on the planet that are accurate. They are all easily identifiable by just looking at them. It's like telling the different between a Glock and a 1911. So the first time a catlrtel member fires one and drops it- everybody is going to know what make, model and manufacturer it is. That's bad.
And those things have limited range. So you'd have to be near an airport and fire it off during take-off or landing. Yes- they could target rotor wings. But someone correct me if I'm wrong, I think most troop carrying helo craft have counter measures to defend.
Tell you this much- some asshat on the ground fires an anti-air missile at one of our fixed wing or rotor wing craft- Trump will go megaton on errrrrrrrrbody.

Cartels? Yes.
Mexican government? I think not. Right now they’re bending over backwards to accommodate and cooperate with the US. They’ve even made some arrests of cartel bosses on behalf of the US. They know that the cartels might be able to make life difficult for them, but the US can erase their existence. I’ve said it before, and I’ll continue to say it. They’re criminals (yes, even the government is corrupt), not idealists. They’re not going to sacrifice themselves for an ideology.
The interesting part will be if they start to roll on each other.
The historical edict was "if you give us up to save yourself, we'll kill you, your family, your neighbors and your dog."
So I guess we will see who these mid-level guys fear more- the cartel sicarios, or JSOC pipe hitters.
The Mexican government is owned by the Cartels. One exists to facilitate the other. The banking side will not publicly let the government advocate for the cartels but their actions will be on the side of the cartels. Watch, not one of Trumps edicts will be carried out but they will all be publicly affirmed.
The 30 day truce will be used to hide the cartel bosses from assasination and make sure women and children are in positions to be killed in the operations against the cartels.
That's what you want. Let them run to their deepest, darkest, hole. This ain't 1989 and we won't be flying single engine prop planes over Bogota trying to triangulate sat phone signals.
We live in a digital age baby. When we were hunting Pablo- the NRO didn't have constellation spy sats- nor did they have Yaogen-40 sigint satellites. Those fvckers will have to leave their compound.
