I just saw a little write up that two coaches have been fired - Beck and Warheime and could be announced before the Tech game. This will allow Huff and Carrington to be interim coaches to hit the recruiting trail starting on Saturday. Jason Washington has been in contact with all defensive recruits - same with Herb Hand for offensive.

Clemson OC Jeff Scott or Tony Elliott are being vetted out by CDC and that there's an attempt to get Rashaad Samples back from SMU.

One thing we know - Clemson knows how to recruit and develop players. either of those guys would be great hires. Both played at Clemson so it's hard to imagine leaving would be ideal - but the co-coordinator title always presents an opportunity.

So Beck, Orlando and Warehime are gone?

The only ones that were stated as gone are Beck and Wareheim. Could be that they've been told of their termination after the tech game. Orlando's bitter response yesterday makes me think he's been told the same, but hoping someone on this group can verify or clarify.

Also hearing that Meekins is going to be reassigned that Samples would be the new WR coach. Orlando could be gone by Sunday

Where did you see the “little write-up”?

What did Orlando say yesterday?

Wow. Just wow. SMDH.

Orlando said Tuesday, “Here’s what I’ll tell you. When you get to a place like this, every second of every day is work your tail off. You get to be my age off of that, there’s an understanding. It doesn’t matter. You come in here and do the best job.

“To me, it’s about staying in routine, he added. “You sit back and you look at your work and your routine, and if your routine is elite, then you’ve just to continue to work away. … Go in there and do elite work. I don’t think that way. I come into every job thinking that I’m going to be elite.”

its a closed FB group nobody can see what is being said. Post a screen shot if you can, if not who exactly is saying these things.

I dont' know how to post a screen shot but the names are blacked out. But that's again why i'm trying to get some validation from someone on here that it might be true. It makes sense - quite a bit actually.

For him to be contrite and have this kind of attitude is ridiculous. He seems to take zero accountability for how poor the tackling has been and how his scheme has failed this year. It's not all Orlando's fault, but he deserves a large share of the blame though.

I was pretty shocked when i read it - but a friend who is well connected at U of H said that it was this type of attitude that made them pick Major over Orlando. Basically that Orlando is an asshole.

I don't see a problem with what he said. Do you want a coach not shooting for elite? He basically said the same thing as Beck (I work hard), just not as articulate as Beck in his delivery. I have no doubt what he says is true. The problem is he never changed anything and the defense continues to struggle. To me that is a self evaluation problem. If you think you are doing elite work, then you had better have elite results.

Great that's all I need Jeff Scott being the OC here as if my regular work week isn't difficult enough.
