I just saw a little write up that two coaches have been fired - Beck and Warheime and could be announced before the Tech game. This will allow Huff and Carrington to be interim coaches to hit the recruiting trail starting on Saturday. Jason Washington has been in contact with all defensive recruits - same with Herb Hand for offensive.

Clemson OC Jeff Scott or Tony Elliott are being vetted out by CDC and that there's an attempt to get Rashaad Samples back from SMU.

1) CDC is good and can be great for Texas
2) I find it hard to believe CDC will force Herman to get new coordinators and force feed him the selections

It could be that there is enough momentum against Tom that CDC is basically saying - the only way you stay is if I have massive input into the coordinators. I don't think that CDC forces TH hand, but he will guide it.

I was pretty shocked when i read it - but a friend who is well connected at U of H said that it was this type of attitude that made them pick Major over Orlando. Basically that Orlando is an asshole.

Good point, I could see that. I would say having a head coach, who just completed his 3rd year, forced to get a new offensive and defensive coordinator is most likely delaying the inevitable.

This is where early signing day bites you in the ass...You have all these guys getting canned and most of the guys you target to replace them won't be in place until after the bowl game so you have to hope your guys sign during early signing day despite the fact that some of them may not know who their position coach or coordinator is gonna be till January

The evidence for changing out coordinators was present last year for those who cared to see passed the overachieving record at face value.

Don’t get mad at me for realizing it and not trusting people who ignored it and then offered someone an extension for it.
