Thompson has a rocket arm and can run like the wind. He needs to work on accuracy and reads.
Amen I thought we might lose all three. He will see playing time. Sam's history is that he will have to sit a game or two.
Looking forward to Thompson staying and being back up will be a good battle with Roschon and Thompson when Ehlinger leaves

If Sam goes down, I woulda rather had Shane then start all over again , anyway it smells like a AGGSY transfer Heisman deal, just Shane might turn out like Murrey, maybe Thompson not the stud you thought him to be, we have had so many Studs at Texas that couldn't play ball in a Nursery. I like Shane but if he was Heisman material it would’ve shown. It’s not like he didn’t have his chances.
It's going to to be very tough for teams to keep more than three scholarship QBs on the roster. You got a starter, a backup, and a true freshman. Anything more and someone will bail.
Shane has played almost two whole years at the same school. I haven’t seen anything that tells me he’s able to win a Heisman. He may transfer and work his way as a starter probably fit in the system better but Heisman?
I’ll say this FB. If Shane becomes some elite college QB somewhere else I’ll be pissed. 1 because he wasn’t here and two because Herman didn’t see it.

Perfect. Can't wait to see the spring game now with Thompson as the clear #2, and even Roschon getting some meaningful reps. I'll certainly feel a lot better about the backup situation next season. Shane is a great kid, but terrible QB. He would've been a waste of time as he would've kept the real QBs behind him from getting valuable reps.
Well, yeah. It seems they made the correct choice with Sam. Not everyone can be the starter.
Murrey was a five star. Sumlin didn't take care of him like he should have.
