I looked back at every game (including 2022)…
We have not scored when receiving the opening kickof since KSU in 2022! That’s 25 games!
Yes, we have scored on our opening possession, but only after we either deferred or the opposing team won the coin toss and chose to receive.
We just don’t do well when receiving the opening kickoff… stats don’t lie!
Edit: went back and looked at the rest of 2022 and we only scored twice (3 years) when receiving the opening KO.
