Thursday 1 p.m. update - Possibly something to watch here. Texas stopped by Crosby today to check on Baylor RB commitment Craig Williams. Someone at Crosby told another Rivals reporter that Texas invited Williams to come in for an official visit.
Thursday 11:45 a.m. update - Texas offers JUCO OL Jahmir Johnson out of Arizona Western Community College. Oscar Giles was out there this week to get a look.
Wednesday 6:40 p.m. update - Longhorns offer Lake Travis WR Garrett Wilson, one of the nation's best for the 2019 class.
Tuesday 9:25 p.m. update - Big visit here. Rivals100 LB Amari Gainer will visit next week. Gainer is a longtime Florida State commitment but he's wanted to visit Texas for several months. With everything going on at FSU and Jimbo Fisher, it just might open the door for the Longhorns.
Tuesday 3:45 p.m. update - Was finally able to track down a number for new JUCO OL offer Mikey Grandy. The College of San Mateo product confirmed that he will take an official visit to Texas on December 15. Grandy, who has offers from Texas, Fresno State, Hawaii and Louisville, said the UT visit is the only trip he has planned so far.
I'm supposed to talk to Grandy later tonight to get more background on his recruitment and his thoughts on Texas, but the fact that he set the visit up so quickly after getting the Texas offer makes me think this one looks pretty good for Texas.
Monday 9:45 p.m. update - Craig Naivar and Oscar Giles were in-home with Boling ATH and Alabama commitment Vernon Jackson tonight. Jackson was in town for a recent unofficial visit and Texas has really picked up the interest.
Monday 9:15 p.m. update - Tight ends coach Corby Meekins did an in-home with the nation's top-ranked tight end, Luke Ford. Ford has already taken his UT official visit and the Longhorns will have to battle against teams like Georgia and Alabama.
Monday 9 p.m. update - Keaontay Ingram gets an in-home visit from Tom Herman tonight. I'd expect all the commits who will be signing in December to get visits this week.
Monday 3 p.m. update - Potential big development here. Texas extends and offer to JUCO OL Mikey Grandy. I'll work on getting an update from Grandy.
Also, as we reported yesterday, Texas offered DE Jarrett Jackson, who visited last weekend.
Sunday 7:40 p.m. update - The Longhorns will do an in-home with Richland linebacker DaShaun White on Wednesday. White is still committed to Texas A&M but with Kevin Sumlin getting fired today, I'd be shocked to see him stick with the Aggies.
A&M will still draw consideration, but this one probably comes down to Texas or OU, IMO. The Longhorns will try to make another strong pitch to White this week.
Also, Texas will do an in-home with Cameron Rising tomorrow night.
