What is Wrong With the Democrat Party......

Let me ask you pro life fanatics something. Roe v Wade has been overturned. So what's in this for you? Have any of you ever talked to someone who has had one? I have and the emotional ordeal they went through talking about it was moving.

What gives anyone the right to tell women what they can or can not do? What business is it of theirs? This is about control, complete control.
My dude-- I could bust your balls a bit for vanishing on us when the covid crap was exposed, as well as you sitting by silent while Prez Sh!tbritches destroys our economy-- but I won't.

You did, however, start your paragraph off with some fvcked up sh!t.

You called people "fanatics".

Here's where Clob comes down.

I, personally, don't think abortion is for me. But I don't have a vagina-- so my opinion really doesn't count. With that said, if I ever knocked up a girl, I would HOPE I would be allowed 15 minutes to express my opinion to HER, and then I'd support HER decision. I do have skin in the game, in this instance.

However, if abortion "fanatics" want to murder THEIR baby (see how that sounds inflamatory) then go for it. No seriously-- here's why:

But for abortion, there would be no Republican party.

"Wtf are you saying Clob?"

Well, there have been 62 million abortions in 50 years.
Kids that women didn't WANT (majority).
What happens when a kid grows up that the parents don't want?

The kid becomes a problem child. It doesn't feel loved.

The VAST majority of abortions are minorities. Well, how do minorities vote? Overwhelmingly Democrat.

So, you've got 62 million more problem kids, democrats and a sprinkling of kids that make it to normal lives.

Plus, many of those kids would already have kids of their own by now. So 62 million would actually be more like 80 million.

Let's say 75% of them vote Dem.

That's 60 million more dem voters. If just 33% of them vote, that's 20 million more dem voters.

20 million more voting Dem means-- no Republicans in office.

So many people overlook the fact that abortions disproportionately impact minority communities. Over 70% of aborted babies are black and brown babies. Remember too that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a well known KKK sympathizer, marxist and eugenecist. She believed that abortion was an effective way to control the black and brown population and maintain a permanent white Anglo-saxon majority. Notice that all Planned Parenthood clinics are in inner cities and communities of color. The KKK, Democrat party and Planned Parenthood have been partners in this endeavor for over 100 years. Why aren't BLM activists protesting PP and the Democrat party? If abortion were banned over the past 50 years, we would would have a majority minority country today. Why is that a bad thing to Democrats? Because it significantly affects their ability to maintain power and control over people. Democrats need wedge issues like abortion and immigration to be kept alive so they can convince people that Democrats are needed to protect those who support those issues. Now that abortion is no longer the national wedge issue, it significantly weakens the power of Democrats running for office. Once people realize that abortion is now to be decided through their elected representatives at the state level, they don't need to pay attention to Democrats on a national level. Next time we have a presidential election, reporters and Democrats can now stop demanding answers from Republican presidential candidates about their views on abortion. That issue is now off the table on national elections.

I 2nd what Clob said.
Also, pertaining to the new ruling, what can a female do, in case of rape or incest? Can they still do the morning after pill, legally or another early intervention? There's states that she can go to for an abortion, but what about Texas?

AG Paxton has already issued a ruling that abortion will be banned in Texas. Now when that will take place we don't know. We also don't know if any exceptions will be built into that edict. The issue of rape and incest will be extremely rare and will most likely be decided through some level of due process on a case by case basis.

I believe the abortion ruling will dictate different behavior from people. People are generally rational and law abiding so I would expect that we'll see men and women engaging in less promiscuous and casual sexual activity. There's no black market for abortion activity since you need medical training and licensing to perform or prescribe surgical abortions. There's likely to be more underground activity for abortion pills and non-surgical abortion procedures so I expect that AG's like Ken Paxton and conservative state legislatures will be adopting stiff penalties and prison terms for those who engage in underground abortion activity.

Slavery and abortion have many parallels. A stronger human controlling the life of a weaker human, even the power of life or death, for the convenience and wealth of the stronger person. Telling others it's not their business what they do with their possession. Telling people if they don't like what they do with this possession they don't need to do it themselves. And where pro-slavery arguments most eerily align with pro-abortion arguments? "It's not really a person"

Both slavery and the Holocaust relied on classifying a certain group as "not human". In the 1800's south - that subgroup is worthy only to be a slave, in 1940's Germany - that subgroup must be exterminated, in 2000 America that subgroup can be aborted. It's why the American Left ranks with of some of the worst kind of evil the world has seen in the past 200 years.

The world spoke when it "finally" told the Nazis they do not get to decide who is human. Democrats do not get to decide who is human either. Yesterday was a big day in world history.

Very interesting. I have never heard anybody make those correlations.

I don't know if this will answer your question. First of all I don't feel like I have a deeper personal connection to this or any other issue than you guys.

In my 60's I've had a pretty interesting life so far. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a recovering addict. Been clean since my 20's but I went to NA meetings for a long time and through there I met some of these women. In theory I'm pro life but listening to those women I can't pass judgement on them. It's between them and God and no one else.

As for being Mormon I'm a practicing LDS and I hold a temple recommend. Now of course I believe in the sanctity of human life. My wife and I talked about Roe v Wade today and our beliefs as LDS. Actually they do believe in exceptions. And there are pro choice LDS many of them women.
Wow, some common sense in this thread....it shouldn't be up to lawmakers or anyone, for that matter, to be passing judgement on others, especially if situations like health issues, rape or incest are involved. I also would like someone to tell us who's going to foot the bill or help these women with child education, healthcare and child care for lower income women that will probably be the ones faced with this dilemma?

I'll tell you one thing most of these southern states will do very little in this regard.

That responsibility falls on the mother and father of the child.

In the very rare case of rape and incest, states will develop a process to evaluate those on a case by case basis.

I think that abortion will continue to be an issue for the Dems. Only the radical left will pivot from "my body, my choice" to "the GOP wants to take away all of your rights." The left will frame the issue as one of control. Think Maxine Waters on Friday after the Dobbs opinion was announced: "The radical right wants to take your rights away. We will defy the Supreme Court."

In elections, Dem candidates will ask: "Mr/Ms GOP candidate, do you commit that you will not support federal legislation to impose unreasonable restrictions on abortion at the federal level?"

Recall that HR 3755 (The Women's Health Protection Act of 2021) passed the House in September, 2021 but failed to garner the necessary 60 votes in the Senate this past February, 2022. In basic terms, that act would have created a federal statutory right for health care professionals to provide abortion care and for women to obtain abortions free from certain restrictions.

The Dems hoped to pass this federal legislation while they have control of both chambers. That effort obviously failed.

They will become increasingly desperate with the mid-terms coming up. They know they'll lose control of both chambers so will pivot the argument and make it about the big, bad GOP that wants to take away women's rights in an attempt to gin up the minority and suburban women base.

Why else would Maxine Waters care? Why would there be protests/riots in LA, DC, NYC, and Chicago after Dobbs was announced? Those jurisdictions will continue to provide access to abortions. It's because the radical left wants to create an argument where none exists. The radical left can't sink their teeth into the Dobbs holding and come up with a substantive position. So, they'll create an argument around the GOP wanting to take women's rights away and destroy Democracy. It's the only argument left. They don't have the economy, immigration, crime, national spirit, etc. to rally around. That's why I don't believe we've seen the last of the issue; even if their argument/position is wholly without merit.

If only we’d had that kind of vigor and protesting from the Left weenies with the “my body my choice” chants over Covid hoax shutdowns and mandatory vaccines this divided country and economy wouldn’t be where it is and Dipshit Joe wouldn’t look as horrible as he does. Priorities. Worst President in history hands down.

The right to life is the most basic and most fundamental right. Who gives someone the right to take another life without due process?

Now that's funny.
Oh, you dragged your ass back in here without your proof that Trump directed people to raid the capital.

How convenient. You know you'll have no credibility until you do. Right?

Perhaps you'll finally come to the realization that you've been fed a lie like a whore is fed cock.
