Even if you were a Democrat, would you seriously want to play second fiddle to her? I expect she’s the likely nominee with Biden’s immediate endorsement, and the pressure for other Dems to fall in line immediately and avoid a free-for-all will be tremendous. The smart play would be for one of the handful of less than crazy, so-called “moderate” Democratic governors like Polis in Colorado, Bashear in Kentucky, or Shapiro in Pennsylvania to run with her, but I’m not sure any of them would eagerly agree to do it and risk their political careers going down the drain.
