Rarely seen Piebald deer

I've been a hunter for 40 years. I've never, ever seen a piebald deer. Saw my first yesterday morning on my way to work.

Some background...I'm here in Virginia after relocating for work. We were hit with some news about our son back home recently that had me not only questioning our move but my faith as well. I've prayed so hard lately and I asked God for a sign. I just want to know he hears me. I know he does...I never questioned that but I did ask.

As I'm winding through my route amongst the beautiful trees, near the lake...there he was. It looked like a ghost at first. I slammed on the brakes as he trotted out of the woods onto the road. I stared at it.... it's gotta be a yearling or a doe? Is it alone? My first piebald deer! EVER! I immediately started praying and thanking God for hearing me. I wept. No traffic behind me on this usually busy area as others head to work. The deer stopped and looked back at me as to thank me for not hitting it. The deer finished crossing the road, and disappeared in the woods. I wiped my eyes smiled, made the sign of the cross and went on my way.

I thanked God again, and am sure he would never abandon me. Nor would he burden me with anything I can't handle. 🙏God is good. ❤️

  • Sam Houston - Loss (3-18)

Overall, the Bears have played a decent number of close games, but the Bears have yet to win a Quadrant 1 (RPI) game, currently sitting at 0-7. Though they have a strength of schedule of 21, the Bears have not been very good on the road with all of their 7 wins coming at home against some questionable competition, with the exception of Texas Tech.

While it is a lone weekend, the Bears absolutely shut down the Red Raiders, holding them to just five runs over three games.

Baylor was picked to finished 2nd to last in the Big 12 in 2024, this coming off the heels of a 2023 season which saw Baylor go 20-35 overall and 6-18 in Big 12 play. The Bears continue to make some progress in the 2nd year under the guidance of Mitch Thompson. The series against Texas represents a massive opportunity to take the next step by beating in-state rivals in back to back conference series.

Currently, the Bears rank last in the Big 12 in batting average, 2nd to last in runs score, 2nd to last in hits, last in home runs, 2nd to last in RBI, 3rd to last in walks, and 5th in strikeouts.

The Bears rank 10th out of 13 in the Big 12 in ERA as well. Texas and the Bears both rank near the bottom in the Big 12 in giving up hits. In addition, the Bears staff gives up a lot of walks, while ranking towards the bottom in striking hitters out.

All this to say, it will be interesting to see which Baylor squad will show up. The one that knocked off Texas Tech with outstanding pitching and solid hitting, or the team that struggles in all aspects of the game.

Wife got a post from a friend. Had a link to click on. Wife did since it was a trusted friend and a warning came up.....

"Violent or Graphic content. This photo is covered so people can choose whether they want to see it."

Then there was a button that said "Learn More". When you click on that button another warning comes up..."This photo may contain violent or graphic content. We remove things that go against our community standards. This photo does not go against our standards so you can choose to see it" Then another button appears to click to see photo.

All this for just a Bible verse.

Some one or some algorithm is scanning these. Wonder if this warning is on ever photo sent on this platform to force so many clicks before you can see the photo.

So, let's talk about bloodbaths!

The liberal spin machine is working overtime to create a false narrative around comments made by Trump referring to a "bloodbath" in the auto industry if voters keep Biden and his electric vehicle push in office.
Well, I submit that the country is already experiencing a bloodbath. Just watch the news at 6:00 and 10:00 every evening. And the blood flowing in our streets in every major city on a daily basis has nothing to do with Trump. This is Joe Biden's America. If you like it, keep it. But who are you going to blame it on for the next four years?

Texas DT Commit 4-Star Brandon Brown on the brink?

Our guy Jason Suchomel has expressed potential worry regarding the strength of current Texas DL Commit Brandon Brown's likelihood of sticking to Texas through the 2025 cycle. Most recently, in his 3-2-1 column on March 12th, that can be found here.

Today Brown posted a cryptic tweet of sorts, on his X account. That can be seen below. Brown tagged former Texas DL Coach and Current LSU DL Coach Bo Davis as well as his current HS Coach.

There is no indication on Brown's Twitter account that he is committed to Texas, in his bio or pinned tweets. He has been a "Verbal Commit since 12/19/23"

Today's Gift (3-22)

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health.
~~~~~~~ Proverbs 12:18
Many years ago, as a baby lawyer, I had the pleasure of working alongside (or maybe walking behind, carrying the files) a lawyer who in our pert of the world was famous and well-respected. He was that rare combination of superior intellect, and formidable courtroom skills. I couldn't believe my good fortune, as I began to envision all that I would learn from him about how to try a case. There was some of that, to be sure, but the greatest lesson---the one I still recall---came in our first brief client meeting. The client representative was a sharp lady; she and this lawyer had worked together before, and they knew what they were doing. Toward the end of the meeting, she asked the lawyer a question that in some respects invited him to comment on another person. Before the lawyer could begin to respond, she quickly interrupted him to say "Never mind. You'd never say anything negative about someone else anyway."
That was the reputation he had earned with her. That was the "skill" she respected. At that moment, it became the skill I most wanted to have. I've not always been successful, but it's something we can all cultivate.
Blessings and best wishes,
The problem with current immigrants
They want the benefits of American but don’t care about the association. Protesting for other countries or calling foreign leaders your president. In the past an immigrants was from say Mexico. The second generation began to become assimilated and spoke the language. The only time they waived a Mexican flag was to support the soccer team. No standing up to protest support the Mexican government.
