Quite the role model in charge there in College Station.
The aggy deleted his post after incurring the wrath of other aggy, then texaggy took the whole thread down this morning -- but not before someone on shaggy preserved the record for us: http://www.shaggytexas.com/board/sh...exas-A-amp-M?p=9087031&viewfull=1#post9087031

Finally caught up with my really BMA source tonight --
I will begin by saying I'm not trying to fan the flames of any rumor mill, but instead communicate what was told to me by a very realiable source. Although I don't have specific detail, I truly believe what I am about to write to be true. I hope that I don't get banned, and instead staff edit what's not deemed appropriate or disrespectful. I think you guys should know this.
But first, thank God this week is over. The uncertainty was unbearable and my F5 has officially faded from my keyboard. Throughout this crazy week, I have expressed negative opinions toward Mazzone & Woodward, but I truly wish them the best and hope they are highly successful during there tenure in Aggieland, however long that may be.
Now as to why I started this thread -- I have always been skeptical of Coach Sumlin's alleged drinking problems, as the sips wanted to do anything to undermine and diminish our success during Sumlin's first two years here.
But then the infamous YouTube video surfaced here this fall. Okay, so Coach likes to toot on some stout firewater during his time away from the office and the team. Don't we all? That's perfectly acceptable and something I partake in regularly as a responsible adult.
However, this evening I was informed it is indeed a real problem. Like having alcohol in a foam cup at work problem. Like having been known to posses alcohol in a cup at practice problem. Basically, being under the influence at times any other professional wouldn't be, especially with his direct influence on young men.
I was told that the two reasons Coach Sumlin is still employed here is because A) We owe him way too much money; in hindsight, it's obvious we negotiated a horrific contract and at this point we may as well attempt to get what we paid for before we cut tiesB) Several members of the BOR have gone out on a limb to defend Coach Sumlin, in particular Jim Wilson. This is the main reason he is still here.
To close this post out, I will say that none of this really matters now. Sumlin is staying , we have a new OC and AD and everyone wants to finish out the recruiting year as strong as possible. I truly believe we will field a surprisingly competitive squad next year and really surprise some people (including this board).
Lastly, I hope that Coach Sumlin is able to manage whatever demons he is/was dealing with. We Ags may be a tough crowd at times, but we are rooting for you Coach.
