Too many ducks left on the pond last night. Yordan did go 2/3 but couldn't be the bases loaded walkoff hero we needed. Hopefully Bregman will get out of his own head and get back to regular season form. We sorely miss his bat.

JV needs to give us a solid 6-7 tonight. Let's do this Stroz!

Nope, not I. I don't like talking about my feels because I don't have much feelings to talk about. Appointments at Frank Tejeda go a lot quicker that way. o_O

Certain things require thinking and other things require just doing.
Relate it to our defense. They are thinking about what they should be doing instead of just doing what the situation requires them to do on the fly. That extra fraction of a second keeps them from being where they need to be to make the play.
In the theatre, 1 bad play could mean game over.
 
Can we please try to put the bat on the ball with runners on base instead of trying to hit a home run with every cut? Also if we have a pitch away can we take it to opposite field?

Apparently the Nats can.
 
Alvarez has been the guilty party. Bases loaded and he's acting like a rookie trying to swing at everything instead of just protecting the plate and maximizing the at bat.
 
The Nats are hot at the moment and not looking back. It's crazy they came 2nd in the division behind my Braves just shows how good that division is.

With what we've seen in these first two games, try as I might, I cannot envision any way the Astros win 4 out of 5. At this point I'd be shocked if the series made it back to Houston.
 
The Nats weren't the best team in baseball during the regular season, but they put it all together, peaked at the right time, and are the best team in baseball now, when it counts. It sucks, but honestly, they're just a better team than the Astros.
 
Right now they are hot. That's how the playoffs go. Its a different season entirely and the only thing I dont like about baseball. 162 games and it doesnt matter if a team has a cold 3 games in the playoffs, which all teams do at some point.

Its not over but game 3 now IS virtually must win.
 
Nats are playing small ball, big ball, defense, and they're baserunning, and pitching. Astros are deer in the headlights at the plate and everyone is swinging for the fence. The Nats have the confidence, the lead, and will take something huge to change that.
 
That inning when the Astros imploaded, i think was the 7th, reminded me of highschool ball. It was that bad.
Stroz want to close out in houston so now they're gonna rattle off 4 straight to take it in 6. :confused:


Ok back to realville, my focus is now shifting towards deer and trophy trout.

Btw, that was a cool scene if you saw it in between innings for the fight against cancer.

Helluva comeback Cole! Pretty wild to see an intenional walk to get Bregman again although it worked.
Hopefully MLB 2019 wraps up on tuesday. I love game 7s but I also hate them just as much.
 
Not many people, including me, truly thought that after being down 0-2 that the Astros would take all three games in Washington. Great job!

Nothing secret with what I do, just react to what nature & the season provides. The surf action is really heating up with baitfish migration. Best bet is hitting PINS early for run-&-gun to Mansfield jetty and back if the tides allow it. Just read the surf and bird action for spots.
When the cold is here to stay I'll be primarily kayaking potholes in the bay.
