Biden fear mongering Covid hoax No. 2

What say you @outhereincali? Were you invited to the fund raiser being that you are a staunch supporter of all things Pelosi?
It must have been some of those vaccinated sophisticated folks that were at Barry’s super spreader party that are now contracting the Covid hoax again. What a shit show this all is. They keep stepping on their toes because they can’t remember where one lie ends and the other begins

I don’t believe that masks are nearly as effective. Just my opinion.
Yet the common flu was 5% of normal rates last year due to masks and social distancing.

The original guidance was under the belief that transmission was via contact and fomites. The cruise ship with passengers stuck on it in Japan showed transmission had to be aerosol as there was no way contact and fomite transmission could have happened under the protocols used.

It took months, and a number of mass gathering outbreaks, to convince the medical community of this as everyone was trained from a study that was conducted around 80 years ago that viruses of the size of COVID could not be aerosol transmitted. It was wrong.

So, when the the medical community down played the efficacy of masks at the beginning(they didn’t believe COVID could be aerosol due to virus size) they were working off bad accepted facts that are now known to be false. In other words Bell isn’t wrong that Fauci originally downplayed masks but people are still clinging to that now that it has been proven false.

Once again I urge everyone to discuss these matters , and any other medical issue, with their doctor and not key board warriors with a political agenda.

Dan--

With all due respect old timer, (and I say old timer out of respect) if you're going to continue slumming it down here with us non-9.95ers-- you've got to engage my man.

Posting boobs is cool and all, but changing the world involves dialog.

I discussed all of this with my doctor and he thinks this is BS. The reason for the miniscule flu numbers last year is due to inaccurate coding by medical providers. There are higher insurance reimbursement rates from insurance companies with a Covid diagnosis. So anything that closely resembles Covid will be coded as Covid even with a negative test. The doc makes the final call since Covid tests are not 100% reliable. Did you know that the common cold is a form of the coronavirus?

My medical providers tell me straight up that over 50% of Covid cases last year was the motherfvcking flu, not Covid. In terms of deaths, it is not unusual for there to be hundreds of thousands of deaths from the flu each year. Last years Covid death numbers were very similar to some very bad flu seasons like the one we experienced in 2018.

Both the flu and Covid are highly contagious and result in similar symptoms. The difference is that Covid was manufactured and the flu was not. Either way, we do what we always have done to protect ourselves. Stay clean and don't be around people if you're not feeling well. Masks do nothing to stop the spread of this virus. The droplets are so small it would be like putting up a chain link fence to keep mosquitoes away.

Cali and Dan, this is a tough crowd. We're a bunch of middle aged/old grumpy men. Don't misunderstand, you are liked here and I commend y'all for sticking around. Most don't and as a country we are deeply divided. The USA is sliding back to pre ww2 days as a smaller player in the world and we have to come up with solutions to our differences.

Flu was 5% of normal worldwide which eliminates US insurance pay models being a factor. Plus a positive COVID test is required by most insurance to code for COVID.

The flu virus is smaller than the COVID virus

You know where we didn’t see COVID spread? In schools, because of mask wearing. Bars on the other hand were hot spots from no masks.

understood..... hard to have true dialogue when you're the minority and a lot (not all) responses end in name calling and outrage just because you have a different opinion than the majority in this thread..... and like we've said, nothing I say will change your outlook on the subject.

This is 100% wrong. Go tell this to your doctor and he’ll laugh out loud.
If the flu droplets are even smaller than Covid droplets then masks don’t make any difference from spreading the flu virus.

OSHA specifically prohibits cloth masks on job sites with asbestos. Needs to be N95 or higher. Covid particles are smaller than asbestos. But a cloth mask is ok for Covid? Explain that one.

Also the fact that our southern border is wide open and illegals are allowed to come in without testing or masks proves that we aren’t really serious about Covid. Same thing with all the Afghan refugees that will be transported over here.

I believe this is a good thing danhorn. Now you are aware of how most conservatives have felt for at least the last decade. The treatment they’ve received by leftist mass media…the inability to have a discussion on the facts without being labeled racists, bigots, Bible bangers, etc.

after rereading through this thread ......one thing I don't understand, and I see it in co-workers with beliefs like y'alls, is the extreme anger, meanness, name calling and propensity to encourage violence within a group of citizens that are spurred on by an anonymous internet guru (Q) and a former president with a slogan called 'the big lie'....I don't get it, and never will.

If you study the history of the US prior to the Civil War, and compare it to today, there are many similarities. The level of acrimony today between the Right and the Left is very similar to the time just before the Civil War. This country is just as divided as it was in 1860. i do not think there is enough common ground for this country to survive.
I see this from time to time on tMB. It is usually from those that are not currently aligned with who is in power now. Supposedly the left said something similar during Trump’s presidency. I’ve visited several Presidential Libraries and opposition is nothing new. We are a big country and not homogenous. But, we’ve always been big and never been homogenous. Besides anxiety, the good always outweighs the bad.

However, this is the first time with the internet. So those that have always yelled can now yell louder. And now people are profiting over division, which makes it more than philosophical differences in search of the best management in any situation.

The confederacy has been vilified for dissolving the union. The same states are fermenting discord again. The question will be what the response is to any that try to make a peaceful argument for succession because there is no reason for the federal government to allow anyone to go peacefully on a whim. The best argument against suicide I’ve seen is it’s a permanent solution to a temporary set of problems. Any attempt to leave is immaturity and counter to everything that has been done in the great experiment to date. I sincerely hope those that are on the fringe never do more than influence the middle

You keep repeating this. No one here is "calling you names or being mean to you". Come on now.

Now you know how we feel on state run social media.

EDIT: Except nobody here is banning you for having a different opinion. You see, the right still believes in freedom of speech. The left most certainly does not.

Respectfully Dan, the sentence I highlighted is false. Attempting to leave in a peaceful manner is just that--- peace-- the most mature thing out there is conflict avoidance. Let us go, quietly, peacefully, with no blood shed.

These are the options that will be placed on the table-

1. Peaceful divorce. Resettlements for those that wish to resettle in another part of our divorcing country. Liberals/progressives will finally have their utopia. We will be out of their hair. Nothing else changes, no walls between states, we share a military, you draw up your taxes and we will draw up ours-- pretty much the same as it is now. Except we get new lawmakers and you get to keep the current ones. No fuss, no muss.

2. Bloody divorce. This is dangerous. My fear is that IF this goes from peaceful to violent, there will be no pause button. Not one man will stay their hand. It will go until it's completely done. There will be no way to stop it. There will be TENS of MILLIONS killed. This will be very bad-- and honestly, a couple months of genocide (it may last only a month) isn't worth it. My love for your life is the reason I'm begging for a peaceful divorce.

Does this make sense?

First off, I’m not a doctor. The DR in my handle is meant to reflect something else. As for steps to prevent the spread of Covid, the most effective in my opinion are maintaining personal hygiene and social distancing. Staying home if you don’t feel well also works. Same basic steps we’ve all taken for as long as we’ve all lived. I don’t believe that masks are nearly as effective. Just my opinion.

That sounds reasonable and respectful towards others unlike some others on this channel who are in denial and/or threaten to host super spreader events.

You mean like Obama did for his birthday?

I agree with your comment. Having such an event in such times is poor judgment. Even if all precautions were taken to test everyone attending right before the event, it is nothing short of a slap in the face of americans who are struggling to cope with their situation.
Were labs and healthcare professionals being put on call to cater to celebrities while others had to wait? All this to raise money for himself and the dumbocratic party?

On the other hand, Abbott did not conduct himself responsibly either. His event had no distancing and people are probably not tested/vaccinated and he did not have any fancy 44x60 masks. 😀

I know everyone goes back and forth with this mask thing. But let me tell you my story of how I got this covid thing. My wife works in the ER and around covid all the time and for over a year she has not got it. She also works at a school and around kids and has not once got covid either even when they had shut down schools. We have traveled to Georgia, Florida, Bama, Mississippi, Odessa, TX, San Antonio, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Louisiana and even out of the country to Mexico and Jamaica. And not once have we got covid in any of these places. I was getting a haircut at my cousins barber shop on a Saturday and she had told me her little one was sick at home. My cousin definitely thought it was just something else and ignored it and said let it run its course. So she cleans up my beard so no I can't wear a mask for that part and that day she was not wearing one either. She texts me on Monday morning saying she tested positive. Tuesday I start to feel ill and the rest is history. That is all that it took for me to get covid and to pass it to my pregnant wife that is high risk at the moment. If anything happens or worsens for her we have to rush her to the hospital and baby would have to come out early and hope that I don't have to choose who's life to save. Another horrible thing is I wouldn't be able to go in with her and they would kick me out and she would have to be in there alone.

Best wishes Robo. Hope it all works out ok.

Did you really ask that to this group? 😂
They are fvcking up.

They should stay focused on the original fvck up of Biden pulling out troops before people.

If they start focusing on people stuck there, and Biden ends up getting them out, they'll declare snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. It will be a win.

Focus on the fact that this debacle never should have happened in the first place. If Biden is able to make chicken salad out of chicken sh!t, it's only because he got lucky and paid US tax dollars to the Tali to not attack us as we left.

Yeah, good point.
Just messin my man!

Just about everything that has come out of Biden, Harris (when she’s not hiding) Psaki, Pelosi mouths as of late hasnt been anything less than a lie or spin from the truth. Left, Right, and Independent alike with common sense knows this is the case. I sincerely doubt any red blooded American wants their country groveling and begging china, russia, and now the Tallywhackers for anything. As previously mentioned by another poster here, we vote for programs and policies. I guess this is our new policy. Simply indefensible.

I know, just beatin that dead horse (sleepy, kamala, fauci, psaki and sullivan). They just keep on with their drivel. On and on and on we go with this bunch and their excuses and blame on the other party. Another note on this withdrawal, who agreed with the taliban on a withdrawal date? Who negotiates with them in the first place on anything? All we're getting from sleepy is choreographed press conferences from him and his crew. Sleepy and his incompetent sidekicks are the absolute embarrassment this nation has ever experienced imo on par with hillary's role in the egyptian embassy fiasco. This shit is gonna get worse real fast.

There are few red blooded Americans left. The Dems that voted for Biden still have faith in him. Even then, I doubt they’d mind if we were remade in China’s image. We’re close but the left would welcome it. After all, “it’s for our own good.”
