Maybe it means Texas went in another direction and took Herman off of the table. I am not proposing this happened but, merely a possibility.
They keep strong and i am done with UT. I can find better things to do next year on those Saturdays.
If Texas keeps him he will end up setting program back for years. He will win just enough next year to say improvements have been made.
Wow that's crazy if true. I think Herman has an O and D mentality that will do really well in the Big 12. If I was a Texas fan I'd be pretty pissed about this development. Oh ferk I just saw the ticker at the bottom of the screen that said that basically the thought is that Texas will keep Strong if Herman is no longer available ????WTF?? That's messed up on your admin.
I honestly wonder if herrmans camp is trying to force a move from Texas. That would be my guess. Herman hasn't really been mentioned much with LSU and then all the sudden boom. I wasn't real big on Herman anyway so I don't care that much but that would be my guess.

Is it me or does it seem like about 90% of the Horn fanbase is ready for Strong to be gone? I have a lot of UT friends and they are all ready for a new coach.
You always want Strong to stay. He is not a championship coach and I will bet on it. He will be mediocre at Texas if he stays and set Texas back further. Losing to Iowa st and Kansas is what Strong is good for.
ESPN bottom line read that the Herman-LSU deal "could be done as early as Saturday."
Why not tonight after LSU's regular season game? All ESPN knows is Herman & the LSU AD met. No deal was reached/signed.

It's interesting that according to sources, it has been Fenves' "preference" to keep Strong. Why?????? I guarantee if those seats weren't full, Fenves would have a different preference.
The fan base is once again fractured beyond repair. It's time to select a championship coach. If Texas sticks with Strong, watch recruiting and ticket sales sink.
Kiss my ass..I have been here longer than just about anybody here and this AD and admin are the absolute worst in all of college football. If it is true and they let Herman slip by and keep strong you can bet I am done with this shit show.
I have no problem owning my opinions. When they are my opinions. That however is not my opinion. I have no problem discussing football with you or anyone else. What I will not do is allow you to tell me what I think.
Herman to LSU .....he would probably be in the playoffs no less than his second year or as soon as his offense was put into motion. With the athletes and recruits from Louisiana and Texas (Houston area) not much rebuilding needed with that combinations.
You have said time after time you would rather keep Strong than to bring Herman. You are the 1% who thinks strong and Herman are on the same level. Herman is 1000 times better than Strong and time will prove it. You want Strong. You want to play it both ways.
The program is a dumpster fire. If the admin fails to take appropriate action, the fire will grow larger (just as it has since 2010).
Strong supporter that though he needed to be replaced at the end of the year after the k-state game. I am not sold on Herman especially if the 8 million dollar asking price was accurate.
Not what I have said. What I have said is if we are going to fire Strong and then run in Herman the next day I'd rather Strong stay. If we're going to do this I'd rather us really conduct a search than hand the job to the boosters hand picked guy. Doesn't make me a Strong supporter. It makes me someone who wants to get this change right not just fast.
I'm beyond pissed about this. Texas will keep the loser strong or take a coach who hasn't coached in college for 20 years and has no Texas recruiting ties.
ESPN trailer also reported the Fenves' preference is to keep Strong, and that if Herman is off the table this may happen. How is this possible? HE LOST TO KANSAS!
