I think we can all agree that no matter what transpires, one way or another, Herman is fixing to have one hell of a Merry Christmas.
To me, this reflects desperation. There are some good names out there, but those coaches seem like they aren't interested in relocating.

Maybe Herman is the best available coach but he isn't worth 8 mil a year yet. I know some boosters want Herman. Not sure if the admin does.

Wrong. I have a source that Tom Herman is waiting until Saturday for 1 reason only - he wants the Texas job more. Herman is waiting until TCU plays Texas on Friday. Herman wants to see what Texas does. Additionally, Texas is in contact with Herman now. No LSU deal has been reached. Herman has an LSU offer.

No way it's a done deal with Herman!! The LSU boards are still really worried even with the latest reports! Hell, I had them believing that both Herman and Fisher were going to LSU with inside sources from 2 different user names!! They're crazy but I think they are accurate saying it's definitely not over!!

I'm confident that Herman to LSU is NOT a done deal and Texas isn't out of the discussion to land him. Things will play out over the next few days and get interesting. I hope the powers to be end the Strong era officially after tomorrow. Enough is enough.

LSU released a statement tonight saying the media reports are false. Texas officials released a statement saying they are not aware of a LSU-Herman deal. Texas officials are in contact with Herman's representatives tonight. UH released a statement saying neither Herman or LSU has contacted UH about meeting with Herman or a deal. Eric Nahlin at Inside Texas is debunking these claims through his sources.
These are NOT sources...just a website. Everything has been vetted. The deal is done...nothing will be made official until after the games. LSU bound for sure.

Of course Herman to LSU is not done. You haven't heard Herman to LSU this whole time. Now a couple days after chip reported that Hermans reps wanted Texas to confirm interest all the sudden LSU has a deal for Herman, but it may not be done till Saturday which would of course be after Texas makes its call. This is all a power play by herman had a deal with LSU then LSU wouldn't want it out during their game.

I agree with you. However, if there are Sabanesque results, then it is totally worth it. Not knowing is the double edged sword. I wouldn't gamble that much.
