Yep. Something is going on in aggieland. It feels like the wheels are close to falling off. This Arkansas game is critical for Jimbo. Might be the biggest game of his Aggie tenure.

I gotta think this might be the case. Evidence could include the 4 frosh missing curfew, and the game, last week.
Could present an opportunity for some good pickups via the transfer portal in the near future.

I would probably agree with this. I think it depends on what happens with these freshmen. Most seem to be doing really well, but there are a couple of thugs in this group that are cancers to this group and even some of the other freshmen are calling them out. If A&M loses this game whether it be close or a blowout, it does get really interesting. I think he still has his players. This groups plays REALLY hard. Jimbo's offense is the only thing standing in their way. It's brutal watching the vanilla every week. WR routes are AWFUL. No rubs, picks, deception working in space, etc. We shall see.

That group didn’t play REALLY hard against App St lol. They seemed to give up. I think Ainias Smith said it best, not all of the players are bought in. I think that’s Jimbo’s issue. Lots of talent but there’s no clear leaders on the team.

This Arkie game will be very interesting. It’ll be a good test for how the rest of the season goes. But I don’t have much confidence in Jimbo, Max, or that offense. Jimbo will never let someone else call the plays and that will be his downfall.

I've watched this "Jimbo" offense on several occasions and as a defensive guy, I don't see what's so complicated about it. It's relatively easy to break it down.

Ok--
First thing we were taught-- when the O breaks the huddle look at the formation. Is it a run or pass. Good offensive strategy can hide this-- make a run formation looked like a pass formation and vice versa.
9 out of 10 times-- legit-- I can tell what y'all are going to do by the time you get to the LOS.
Hell-- that's 75% of the battle right there.

It's almost like stealing the signs from a catcher. If you know the fastball is coming, you've got a leg up on the pitcher.
If we know you're running, here comes those safties up and those corners pinch and you're fvcked.

Now, if I know run/pass-- step 2 is breaking down your tendencies. You motioning toward playside or away? Is your guard heavy or light because he's about to pull? Is your RB up close to the QB for a quick hit or is he deep? Do you favor running to the short or wide side?

By halftime, you're fvcked.
 
Agree with what others are saying. a&m is pretty vanilla and predictable. aggy has a QB and OC problem. Also throw in some team chemistry issues going on. The defense is very good. I can see a&m having four losses this year, but next year is always their year. :rolleyes:

I think their defense is overrated. It didn’t look good against App St 😂😂

Aggies haven’t played a team with a good offense yet. Arkansas has put up 31, 44, and 38 against Cincinnati, SC, and Missouri State. I have a feeling Arkansas is going to score a lot against the Aggie D.

I think Elko was the key for the Aggie D and the defense has taken a huge step back now that he’s gone. He currently has Duke at 3-0.
 
Middle Tennessee State is beating Miami 17-3 in Miami 😂😂😂

Middle Tennessee State has already matched the Aggies scoring from last week...in the 1st quarter.

Arkansas already winning 14-0 early!! Poor Aggies!!!

I've been watching football all my life. I have seen thousands of FG's.....Never saw one hit the TOP of the goal post....what are the odds....and freakin' Sodbusters have to be the beneficiaries....a suck day of football all around....

aggy was very, very lucky to win that game. Arkansas is the better team, but didn't win. Total fluke. They will have at least four losses. Arkansas did more damage to themselves than a&m did to them.

I think this was their “Bama game” from last year. They win a big game against a top ten opponent, then lay an egg the following week.

Yes, but they did win. We didn’t. We would have taken a very, very, very lucky win.
I hate aggy as much as anyone, but last week they beat a ranked team (which now looks really bad), and this week they beat a top 10 team. We didn’t.

A&M's defense will keep them in most games. They won't lose as many as we all hope.

If there’s one thing I know, it’s never get too high on Aggie because they will 100%, without a doubt, lay a few more eggs with embarrassing losses this season.

It’s like clockwork. They have a big win like bama last year or Arkansas this year, start beating their chest, and then suffer an embarrassing loss the following week. I can almost guarantee it lol.
