Dear aggies

That’s the spirit, BBA!

I don’t know if you know this, but Texas isn’t Auburn. You haven’t played a D like you’re about to.
I don’t know if you know this..Auburn has one less win than your biggest win. Good for you for you for playing good defense against bad teams and playing your toughest road games at 11:00am..against Vandy. Your first night game next week on the road. It should be a good one!

Tell us about your best wins against mediocre teams. 🤷‍♂️

I know how much you ags love transitive reasoning, but Texas is the best team you’ll play all year.

lol no more salt on your fry's sir..your cholesterol is spiking

sec championship

Georgia vs texas or aggy...

when was the last time this game mattered this much?
Somehow despite how mediocre they are, and they just lost to another bad team, aTM still has a chance. Que the dumb dumber meme. Looks like it’s coming down to next week after all. How fitting.

All comes down to one game between us. Makes for a good week..yep, I’m a little pissed at how our defense played. Proud of how they battled back and fought but not happy about the game. Either way we had to win out completely so that hasn’t changed. It’s going to be the biggest game at Kyle Field in as long as I can remember just the renewed rivalry and now what it means.

It’s just another game. There is a lot more to play for than aTm. Y’all r done.

Good thing we don't have a bad loss like... Bama (twice), Georgia, Ole Miss, Fake UT, LSU, aggy... looooooooooool!!

Out of curiosity who is the other bad team?
I guess he could mean South Carolina. I know, I know… They’re 8-3. But if you’re gonna degrade Texas’ schedule, you might wanna take a good look at theirs. They’ve only beaten up on trash teams. The same can really be said about LSU, Mizzou, and… wait for it….

ND. Outside of the service academies (who, I mean…. Come on) they’ve only beaten two teams with winning records.

So, cool. Y’all have won some games against mediocre teams who have benefited from their names, but have good records on paper due. Good for you.

Speaking of trash teams… How many of those games has aggy struggled with this season?

Florida? Check
Bowling Green? Check *giggle*
Arkie? Check
Miss St? Check *another giggle*
Auburn? Well… too soon?

Y’all are lucky to be 8-3 right now instead of wishing you were bowl eligible. Of course, I’m not beating my chest about Texas’ schedule. But, we are currently 10-1, so….

I have no doubt y’all will fight tooth and nail next Saturday. But don’t doubt that Texas will bring some heat. At least on the defensive side of the ball. The O’s at least better than Auburn and South Carolina, so I think we can score some points.

So let me ask a question. Is your environment the same at 11 as it is at night? Should A&M beat South Carolina and Auburn on the road and at night? Yes. 100 percent. BUT, if you follow college football at all, night environments mean crazy things happen. You take a bunch of people who really don’t care around noon or so and then get liquored up and all of a sudden it gets real to them. South Carolina and Auburn are no joke places to play at night. Should have won…but night games are not as easy as day games because they provide a different kind of energy. Texas had no night games on the road. Vandy was one of your tough ones?? In front of 28K..mostly burnt orange fans. Arky at 11 on the road..ask Tennessee if a night game may have mattered.
Struggles? Yeah Bowling was a bad game. Arky is close every year in a rivalry game at Jerry World. Florida wasn’t a struggle and again they had a full team at their place. You played them at home with 8 starters out. You struggled with Arky and Vandy and again had no tough environments in the SEC schedule.
Listen, I’m tired of A&M making excuses about crap..you have to win, period no matter where you play but good teams go down at night. Ask Alabama how OU’s environment was last night. It matters, and you just didn’t have to experience it this year.

Texas has had every advantage of the schedule that they could get this season. They have also taken advantage of it. Kudos to them.

Road games at night in the SEC are different. A&M plays much better at home and shts the bed on the road.

Will come down to turnovers.

It’s not Texas’s first year playing football, we understand home field advantage, especially at night. It also worked to your advantage against LSU which y’all glossed over and thought yall finally turned the corner. In reality you’re just not that good of a team, but it’s true that strange things happen on the road at night. We might lose but it’s not because you are good, it’s because it was on the road at night. Glad we cleared that up before hand.

Oh my God… Just stop with this “on the road at night in the SEC” bullshit. Do you remember when no one had ever beaten tOSU in The Shoe at night? I remember hearing about it non-stop, until Texas went in there a whipped that ass. ND beat you in your own house this season, just like UGA best us in ours. It’s called a home field advantage, not a home field certainty.

Yes, we didn’t have great games against Vandy and arkie in their houses. Vandy is much better than their record, and they’ve been trying to prove something this season, so they went toe to toe with us. Do you think you would’ve gone in and won against them? I don’t. The arkie game was rekindling a very heated rivalry, so they went toe to toe with us in their own house, and we still beat them by double digits. You only beat them by 4 points in your own house. More telling is that arkie outplayed you, and their 3 turnovers gifted you that win. Texas never trailed arkie, and our game was never in question.

Do you remember that your best wins were at home? You ags didn’t have Bama, UGA, Tenn on your schedule this season, the only SEC team gifted that.

Your ags have played mediocre to bad teams all year, so you take that 8-3 record as a sign that you’re good. But, how have you played against those teams? Not well, honestly.

It's all psychological. There is no advantage of playing at home or on the road, day or night.

It's purely psychological. You rarely hear the crowd when you play. Your brain does this little trick where you only hear the things you're supposed to hear-- LBs calling shifts- Secondary guys checking down- Quarterback cadence- OLine making their numbered count- other than that- you're in a vacuum until you come off the field. From time to time I could even hear the opposing QB calling plays in his huddle.

The whole "night game crowd" sh!t is just a psy-op designed to sell tickets and affect the weak minded.

I agree with this even though it’s sarcastic. Weird crap happens at night. You think OU is better than Bama? Nope. Arkansas better than Tennessee, etc. I think overall Texas has the better team. Do I think we can stand toe to toe at home with the energy of the crowd? Absolutely. If the defense can pressure Quinn like they harass many other QBs at home then I think we can shut Texas down. I think the Texas defense is legit so turnovers are going to be key and we have to win that battle. We crapped the bed on the road lately losing 11 of 14 games. That sucks. We are different at home especially at night.

I disagree with the defensive side of the ball. It provides more energy to the defense and makes the communication harder on the offensive side of the ball for the opposing team. I agree when the ball is snapped it’s football. Math doesn’t lie when you look at how many false starts are called between home and away. Teams records are also better at home then on the road so whatever you want to call it, weird crap happens at night and there are more upsets against ranked teams at home.

Fans want to think that their yelling effects the game. But, it doesn't affect a well prepared team. I've coached teams vs Texas School for the Deaf and they proved that.
Teams have procedure penalties in half full stadiums as well as packed ones (but being amped up for the game probably causes some jitters). Not much hut hut snap counts and assignments/plays are called visual. Gonna be a good game. Just hope that the corp boys and girls don't get to kiss their dates much!🤘🏻

I agree with A LOT of your post. That’s why I wanted to see Arch against Kentucky. Q is clearly compromised from a mobility issue. If he was VY with a bum ankle, I’d say let him play. He’s not. He is immobile to begin with. With a bad ankle he’s geriatric. I like that he wanted to battle thru it but we pay Sark to be SMART! Honestly, if we lose at aggy with the backup QB, we’re in the playoffs. That month and a half will go a long way to healing a high ankle sprain.
The one place we differ is the night game at home thing. Notre Dame was at night and at home. The Irish aren’t that good.
