Oh I am sure Mayfield et al. are recruiting him behind the scenes. He'd fit in better in a proven high octane offense like OU.
You think Baker is going to send him one of his fabulous interpretive dance videos? That would probably seal the deal. nttawwt.

In his press conference today he said he will be more of a ceo than anything ie Kendal Briles will still run the offense and the other offensive assistants aren't going anywhere at least not yet.

He went on to say that his biggest concern are the current players but make no mistake he is going to go the extra mile to keep the incoming freshman at Baylor.

He*l of he can do all that his season is mission accomplished.
Just imagine if there was a Paterno still on the sidelines in State College. Son and son-in-law should be shown the door like Papa

If the kid is lucky enough to get such attention, he can only hope! I think he'd really love some of those touchdown passes instead tho

Whichever route "Twinkle Toes" Mayfield chooses to go, I'm sure will be the correct one.

Yeah, like I said, there's nothing wrong with Baker's lifestyle or choreography.

So what are you gonna say when Texas stomps a mudhole in his ass and stomps it dry yet again?

The great Baker Mayfield is 0-2 vs Texas. And he has a losing bowl record. No matter what he does next year, neither of these will become winning records; for his career he is destined to have these backwards numbers next to his name.

But hey, maybe he will win "so you think you can dance" in a year or so when his career is over.

I've seen his girlfriend, he does pretty well for himself

Oooh. A voyeur from Oklahoma. Stalking young boys and their girls eh?

You prefer young boys from Austin? Or just ones from Tech? Or just yoUr beloved losing QBs for 0U?

Depends, will they be 1-4 going into the game? be nice if the game had some sort of implications for a change.

All of that in spite of still being one of the nation's top qbs. Pretty impressive. He has more big 12 conference championships in one season than your entire texas coaching staff, athletic director and team combined for their entire careers.

Yeah its not like we've never seen her plastered on tv during Bedlam.

I see the thought of an internet stranger possibly stalking young boys got you really turned on. Seek help immediately.

So you have your facts wrong on the CCs.

And I do like how you are relegated to changing the subject.

Bottom line remains, no matter what your lover boy does this year........he will have a losing record as a starter vs Texas. That burns you eh?

Great comeback. That the best you got???

Again, I'm not the one living vicariously through a kid from Austin. And you are doing it on a UT site. The stench you put off can be smelt for miles around. But go ahead and change the subject and deflect. Its a fresh MO for you okies who live here.

Once a player signs an NLI they are a member of team just as a junior or senior. Is this not correct? Or are you saying because they possibly have not officially started classes they are treated differently?
They are not the same as a junior or senior because they have not enrolled in school.

BU is catching a lot of PR heat for not granting releases to the 2016 signees. My guess is they ultimately will grant them but will restrict to schools outside of Big 12 and the NCAA will likely lift the requirement to sit out 1 year.
Devin D. is certainly the beneficiary of more incompetence from the BU athletic dept.
When they release a player from a LOI, assuming he has not enrolled in classes, there are no restrictions about where they can go. They are free to go wherever they choose.

A come back? It's just the truth.

I dont understand; so posting on this message board is your evidence that I live variously through him? Doesnt make sense. You are trying too hard.

Since when was the subject your hypothetical question?

That's not the bottom line, that's just something you hang your hat on. I'm pretty satisfied with the big 12 championship trophy (your last one is collecting serious dust), his standing in the heisman race, and how he's played all season long. We have a real star qb at OU finally and i rather think it burns you that your team hasnt had one for the better half of a decade. Like i care what his starting record is vs texas lol. I want him to aim higher and he sure has! But it sounds like we're both okay with his his career has went so far. That's awesome man. You can be a Mayfield fan too, he's from austin afterall.

This thread is about some 21 year old OU douche bag with a perm dancing right? Just checking....

Was it Mayfield or Knight that had Katy Perry asking for a phone call on national tv and they didn't do it? Can't remember which ou QB had zero game there. No red flag there at all.

Baylor folks are saying Dickson has yet to show up for summer session.

If true, his options will be somewhat limited because he was an early enrollee. He would be treated like a transfer and subject to restrictions and eligibility loss, unless the NCAA were to step in and waive the transfer penalties.

It doesn't burn me. I am fully aware and accepting that our team has been down for a little bit now. I am one of our biggest critics.

And yet, I could do like you do and play the game of "we have a more recent NC and yours from the beginning of this century is busy collecting dust". See how that works?

Point is, I don't live on soonerpoop running my mouth to fans. I don't run to that site to slobber my love and devotion to --insert UT player here-- like you are doing with Mayfield. And I don't dodge facts.

Fact is that you were wrong with your comment Mayfield has more CCs that the entire UT staff combined in their history. It is factually incorrect. Those coaches have plenty on their resume and they look to be building some here on our campus now. And if they don't, the will soon be fired.

Meanwhile the fact remains that Mayfield will end his career with a losing record vs UT. No matter what he does next year. No worries, you can still get engaged to him if you'd like. And you can spin this fact by ignoring it and talking about something else. Its what you do here.

Yet he STILL carries a LOSING record vs everything Texas..... nice. And a losing bowl record.... and his one Big 12 CC came with a LOSS to Texas.... I am not impressed... and what difference does it make if Texas comes in at 1-4? If Texas beats ou then it just makes ou look worse and makes Texas look better... implications ALWAYS surround that game.... regardless of records. This was about mayfield not being able to beat Texas, and you found everywway possible to ignore that and shine other areas.... yeah the CC is nice, but I dont see him winning another before he leaves, and he will leave with a losing record vs Texas. In that context, mayfield sucks balls... CC or not, mayfield is trash..... like it or not, those are facts.

Yawn, he's already more decorated and has won more awards and accomplished more than any tx qb in the past half decade. In one season. about his current record vs tx, It just doesnt matter. I mean if it kept them out of the playoff yeah it would have sucked but meh. Losing to tx last year ending up meaning nothing other than being annoyed for a few days. He's bad ass, better than anything texas has. The CC is nice and IMO more important than the golden hat. ANd he'll win another this year. You got 11-14 charlie, keep him.

Lol slobbering devotion. Funny. Nah, he's just better than any qb on your roster. I looked at the coaching staff, and they've all been around just a couple years with the team, so no big 12 championships on their resume. which of them won a big 12 championship again? Definitely charlie has 0 and every single player on your team has 0 at least. Not sure how much longer charlie will last, guess we'll see! And the fact remains who cares if he has a losing record against texas or anyone else, win some big 12 trophies, go to the playoffs, that's what I'm after. I wont ignore your little fact, in spite of it being conjecture, but i just dont care. I have bigger goals in mind for him.

Charlie Strong has played for and coached 11 Conference Champions

Player Central Arkansas 81, 82, 83
GA Texas A&M 85
Assistant Florida 91,93,94, 06, 08
Head Coach Louisville 11,12
So no big 12 championships, okay good, nice to have confirmation , thank you.

On to Duvernay. He's looking like a nice OU lean so this ought to be interesting. Looks like he'll most likely be in uniform at the RRR

"When I committed to Baylor, Oklahoma was my number two so I have always liked them," Duvernay told ESPN. "Kyler is talking to me about Oklahoma now too."

If we offer his brother, I think he's ours. That's the only holdup from him coming to Austin from what I've read.

I don't know why we would even be talking to him if we weren't prepared to do that.

He probably would love to play football with his brother, and hey maybe he'd like to play with his cousin too. I think Ou and tx have about the same 50/50 shot. Though I do like the fact that he had OU #2 when he went to baylor.
