I tend to think you are right, but i'm not ready to make that bold a statement yet.

But those stupid sweater vests he wears sort of rub me the wrong way. Not Pat Dye with his coaching uniform of ball cap, blue blazer, dress shirt, dress slacks and sneakers bad, but still bad all the same.

Thats a guy who checks some boxes, maybe most of them, but someone I would need some time to warm up to. Is he a guy who would be highly respected by Texas High School coaches? I don't know that much about him outside of the obvious issues he's had.

Other than making a bunch of money, a coach has to be crazy to come to UT. The fans will never appreciate you. They will immediately begin destroying your career. You better get enough money that you never have to work again.

Today we are not a premier program. Maybe in top 10 but lot closer to 10 than 4or5.

1. Facilities need updates. The indoor facilities suck.
2. Without facilities, no top3 coach is gonna take a step down in facility that he uses to help recruit, face the shit show traffic of downtown Austin and deal with all the extra stuff the Texas HC has to do. Monday pressers, Pluckers etc. Just let the dam coach do his job.
3. Coach in the Big12. Like it or not, this conference is the laughing stock of college football. For a team to make the playoffs they have to be undefeated and conference Champs. Other conferences can have a loss and still make the show.
4. University stability or lack there of. Too many university

Why are you of the opinion that coaches at places like ND, Bama, UGA etc., don't have to deal with Monday pressure and coaches shows? Did you really think that was just a Texas thing??
