HOOPS GAME THREAD: No. 4 Texas vs. No. 15 Texas Tech (8:00 p.m. on ESPN2)

Man the meltdowns here are something else... It sucks to blow a lead, but Tech played lights out in the 2nd half. Sucked the air out of our offense. A couple plays made the difference (though the errant inbounds at the end is near inexcusable).

We lost to a good team. It's basketball. It happens. Move on, start the next win streak.

They have been doing this their entire time at Texas. Both are terrible and not good enough for Texas to be ranked 4th. We are a top 20 team because we have superior athletes that have played together for 17 years.

That’s just stupid , Coleman is one of the main reasons Texas is 10-2, they are good enough. There is a reason the line was -1 , game was always going to be close.

Welcome to the big 12. Wasn’t going to be easy. We played with fire vs iowA state ok state and West Virginia and today it caught us. Good chance to make a statement by how we respond. We shoot 72% free throws before today so we will be ok. Just need to keep scoring.

There are guys on this board that still think Coleman and Ramey are high major guards, and better than Jones. Beard coaches circles around Shaka and some people actually think Shaka is a good coach. The first half was due to Jones scoring and Tech not being able to throw it in the ocean. Second half is a true indication of what this team really is. Unfortunate for the players but is what it is.

Beard is by far the better coach. We have more talent, Tech the better coach.

Go look at his stat line. We were in this game because our athletes gave us second chances on offense in the first half and AJ went nuts in the first half. Coleman is having a better year than we are used to seeing from him but it doesn’t mean he is top 5 in the country PG good.

Texas isn't going to beat many good teams in a close game making just over half of their foul shots. Gotta make the easiest points in basketball count.

I thought guard play was great in the first half but fizzled down the stretch. Texas has gotta figure out a way to get more production out of its two highest rated players in Greg Brown and Kai Jones. That involves not only that coaching staff but these Longhorn guards too. They looked gassed to close out the game. Tech converted too many turnovers into points and got too many second chance points.

Our two mid major guards had a terrible second half. Collectively 8-25 from the field

LOL. It must have been killing you to have to wait for 6 weeks for them to have a bad game so you could bring your lame self into another game thread. LOL.
