Such a foolish and hurtful assertion to make towards people on Social Security. My wife calls every time our paper is not delivered at our front door and asks for a refund. Do we need a refund, of course not but she has a strong sense of right and wrong and when somebody doesn't follow up on a promise they have made to her they are going to hear about it.
You better believe she is calling to complain if she doesn't get her SS check every month. To assume that only people who are committing fraud wouldn't complain about missing a monthly check and just assume that the government will eventually pay up is insulting to every retired person in the US who depend on their SS.
