I wrote that plainly. I lived in Dallas 10 years when I worked there in the 90's. Now I live in Maple Ridge neighborhood in Tulsa. Bigger is not necessarily better. I like Texas and actually have an MBA from UTA fwiw. DFW is spectacular to look at but Tulsa suits me better to live in for the most part.
And, Tulsa MSA per capita income is approx. the same as DFW MSA per capita income, even with all the Fortune 500 companies down there who for the most part do not share the wealth with the rest of you poors.

To each their own. If Tulsa works for you, so be it. Like I said, I've been to both Tulsa and DFW many, many times. The traffic sucks in DFW, but there is so much more to do there, and it's a nicer area. I wouldn't ever want to live in Tulsa, but if makes you happy, knock yourself out.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say they are “truly win at all costs”. If that were true why suspend or remove anyone from the team? One would think to be truly win at all costs you’d never ever suspend anyone. And to actually kick someone off the team? Not even conceivable. For a win at all costs mentality that is. I’m assuming you truly believe it and you don’t say it for effect. I can admit there’s been issues in the past but I’ve also seen a slew of starters get kicked off the team when the university had all discretion to keep them. I myself honestly believe it doesn’t matter who is hc at OU, certain folks will call that person a terrible human and just assume he just hasn’t been caught doing something felonious yet.

All I contend is that win at all costs is a bit hyperbolic to me. Too many suspended or removed players for that to really be it.
Of course what Mixon did should have been enough to be removed from the team. IMO win at all costs program wouldn’t have suspended him though. The ncaa wasn’t doing anything. He was the best rb on the team before he took a snap, who would have stopped them? Anyway, he should have just been let go.
And why didn't Stoops kick him off of the team? I'll tell you why. He was a good RB and winning was more important that integrity, which is what defines the 0U football program. It dates back to the Wilkinson and Switzer days, and has continued forward. 0U is a thug program.

If it was only about winning why suspend him for the year? They could have just Said 6 games. Or 3 games. Or just not nothing at all, handling it internally. People would have gotten over it. Speaking strictly from a starting point an absolute zero of integrity. Doesn’t make sense.
Babino's a POS and got his ass beat. If he had done that when he was a player, we would not have defended him.
Meander and Sanders were immediately dismissed and never allowed back, even though they were both acquitted.
