I spoke with JUCO defensive end Jermaine Johnson tonight. He picked up a Texas offer on Friday.

Johnson is originally from Minnesota but is now in school at Independence Community College in Kansas. I asked Johnson if location will be a factor in his decision, thinking he may want to stay in the Midwest or something. It turns out, location will play a part, and it just so happens Johnson wants to get the hell out of Dodge (or Independence, in this case).

"I kind of want to get out of the Midwest. My mom is moving up to Arizona. My sister and aunt already live in California. My youngest sister is planning to attend college in Arizona. So somewhere south, southwest. Anywhere but the Midwest," Johnson said.

Someone show Johnson the flight charts from Austin to Phoenix and Cali, and break down how quick and easy it is to get back and forth to both. Also, Johnson will take a Texas official visit. This one is very early but trending well right now.
