Another tourney, another Spieth victory. Guy is on FIRE. And such a great attitude. Outstanding young man as well as #1 golfer in the world. So proud this guy is a Longhorn.

Was having a discussion with a buddy the other day about what we would choose if we could be any pro athlete in any sport on any team at any position (i.e. SS for the Yankees, QB for the Cowboys, PG for the Lakers, etc.). His choice was #1 golfer in the world, specifically Spieth. He's not even a Longhorn. His rationale was amount of money to be made, length of career, lack of toll on the body, travel around the world, hot chicks, etc.

Remember when the "experts" said he wasn't ready to go pro?

The older I get, the dumber the "experts" get.

Lots to be said for that. You're making a living at what a lot of adults do for leisure and recreation.

I'd either want to be the top golfer, or MMA champ. Golfing gives you the longevity and money. It's a life with much less stress on the body for sure. And rarely do golfers end up with broken noses and cauliflower ears.

But there's something to be said about the animal instinct in us. King of the Hill, baddest man on the planet, ruler of all. One of the best things I loved about wrestling was that it was all on me...I either got my butt whipped (a lot), or I won because of what I did. I didn't have to rely on a teammate to carry me. And I didn't have to worry about a teammate making a mistake or taking a play off and it costing me. I liked that all the pressure was on me to be better than the guy who stood in front of me. Golf is also like that, to an extent as well.

It'd be a tough choice, either way.

I think this kid is going to make it.

He could retire tomorrow and he will have made it already lol. Two majors, two more runner up finishes and millions in the bank. And he earned every penny of it. Didnt inherit a thing. Hes made it several times over. And hes only 21. Good for him.

Nice one. Yeah, I think I'd be a badass MLB in the NFL like an Urlacher or Ray Lewis.

He shot like, 30 under didn't he? I'm trying to think of 30 times I've ever MADE a birdie.......
