Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (Go medium, young man...)

Ketch

After years of being a member of this site I truly can't recall you actually giving an actual "thought" about the Cowboys in your TTFTW article. You always seem to say something along the lines of, "I don't know what to say" or something else non-committal.

What is your honest opinion of this team, its situation, its future, etc?

I literally wrote a column that pointed out all the areas that Texas needs to improve on.

That being said, part of it is Quinn. We can't dismiss that because there are also other areas that need to improve.

9/10 OP criticisms of UT the last 2 games (3 weeks) are on QE. It’s just not right.

You may have missed my last paragraph. If we cant be successful in the run game and our WRs continue to struggle to read defenses while the OL cant give extra time in protection, then we may need to make a change because our offense isnt the right fit with QE at QB.

What is there left to say? Think of the sound of someone throwing up and that sums up the Cowboys. I went to my first Dallas game with my dad in 1965 and IDGAS anymore. F*ck Jerrah.

(Buy) The staff doesn't believe in him. I'm not sure that he'll find a better landing spot, especially since Arch Manning seems to like throwing in his direction, but he has to be as frustrated as any player in the program.

You know where I am that.

They played a defense that wasn't garbage for the first time since Week 1, although at 51 in DFEI Louisville isn't that much better than garbage themselves.
They just looked completely out of it coming out of the bye week.

Lethargic.

@Ketchum your take on Shemar Turner. How big of a mental case is he, and is he doing any damage to his image in the eyes of scouts and his draft. Or will they overlook this. And as dirty as aggy has been as a defense are you expecting any scuffles started by them and intents of trying to injure our players.

As my Uncle used to say, "That boy just ain't right". He is the dirtiest player since Conrad Dobler.

Yeah but for who?
I certainly don't see Keelon Russell being the starter there next year and maybe he is the one who could persuade Ryan to stay.....and I can see him being their next Milroe...but maybe a couple years down the road. Simpson is a jag...and the kid Deboer brought with him from UW I know nothing about him other than he isn't proven and hasnt played a snap in a real game. So I'd say it's between him and Simpson as the starter next year. Arch is definitely proven and hopefully Lacey is still working Ryan behind the scenes. I certainly wouldn't say it's impossible for Sark to steal another big time SEC WR.

NFL scouts barely care about murder.

If he can play, they'll take him.

1) a minute ago, I thought Collin Simmons was heading to legendary status. Maybe it still happens, but the moment has passed.

2) I saw James Franklin’s offense in Austin before. But Fred either had Earl or a GOAT Defense so we kinda worked with it. Franklin 24 is brutal.

3) Your kids have never been to DKR? Dafuq?

Clemson has played two games against teams with a winning record and they’ve lost them both.

Cade Klubnik in those two games:

Louisville;
33-56, (58.9 completion percentage) 228 yards (4.1 yards per attempt) 1 TD, 99 rating

Georgia:
18-29 (62.1%), 142 yards (4.89 yards per attempt), 1 INT, 96 rating.

I tried to tell you @Ketchum that Clemson was fools gold. They’ve been playing scrubs.

They just aren't into football and I'm always working.

I saw SRV live in Fairbanks Alaska a month before he died. It was an amazing concert where he won over a very boring crowd and absolutely rocked the house!

Like I tried to tell you those pre-season numbers for Ewers were kinda wild. ;)

We all have our blind spots, I suppose.

Your SRV list is good. I saw him many times live throughout Austin back in the 80's and even once with David Bowie. He will always be my #1 Guitar player.
