Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (Let Arch Madness Begin!)

Ignore it. It's uninformed.
Can you please just have this response pinned to the top of the Inside the 40 Acres page...this feels like it's gonna come up EVERY time some jackwagon with a keyboard mentions Arch in any article.

Also B/S: Arch ends up with a better winning percentage in the next two years than QE had the past two (80.8% I think)?

Agree on the Ewers and Manning sentiment. Excited to see Arch get in there but I'm hoping Trey gets to compete because he seemed capable. Besides we need a good backup just in case of injury or off day.

As good as Arch may be, does he deserve the title of best QB in the SEC over guys who have already put in work? It's not a " most potential" competition. Jmho.

We need a bigger back like Henry for those goal line runs. Terry maybe.
Thanks @Ketchum , as always...good stuff👊🏽🤘🏻

@Ketchum who did we get from spring portal last year? Curious why there’s so much confidence in spring portal that wasn’t addressed in winter? My thought process is that spring is normally guys realizing they aren’t gonna play, not true difference makers

Interesting that you don’t think Sark finishes his college coaching career here. Thinking he jumps to the NFL then falls back to college?
Yes. Or jumps to the NFL and never goes back to college.

you have to admit the league and refs have their mouths superglued to KC peen. The have been the beneficiary of every win under 1 score when several of those happened because of phantom calls that even announcers and rules analysts were baffled by. And the crew last night 7 of those wins were from. Or they have never lost with that crew, not sure if all 7 were this season. It is ridiculous. The league is doing everything it can to ensure they get the 3 peat and that Mahomes is protected in every way even if continually bailing them out and extending drives. Mahomes getting that PF called against Houston after dancing around like an idiot and never got touched. And then trying to get the ref to throw flag with his flop out of bounds. They need to start penalizing players 15 yards for this and fining them.

I mean... Mahomes.

I know what the principles say, but, I still find it hard to believe Arch comes back if he has a really good year...he'd be at 19-20 starts & that will be enough...and if Arch is a T5 pick it might not matter what the family plan is & that family plan may have been cover to limit conjecture in the first place.

.'
It doesn't matter what you believe. It's what the Manning family believes is best.

Who are you ranking ahead of him?

There's confidence because of the urgency and motivation that will be involved. It's willing it to happen.

Food for thought regarding expectations with Arch.

Since 2006, only 5 Rivals 5 Star QB’s have won a national title.

Tim Tebow
Cam Newton
Jameis Winston
Deshawn Watson
Trevor Lawrence

While I respect QE for what he did for this team, I have no doubt the change to Manning at QB will build and the difference will be stark. QE never spent an entire season healthy enough to live up to his billing.

I suspect it will open up Sark so that he lives up to his billing as the best play caller in college football.

well of course, but, mark me down anyway though

and as a guy who is in the business of being told a version of the truth to fit a narrative, I'm a bit surprised at your lack of skepticism on this one

I was full of skepticism about them being patient through this season and yet here we are...

Sounds like based on the math... we're due to see it soon.
I’m totally team Arch, just found it interesting that team success at the highest level has been largely elusive for 5 star QB’s

Longhorn basketball. Ugh. Just get pushed around and have very little answers for what is thrown at them. Hope the next head coach can figure it out

Ketch. U said Burke will be SDE starter. I thought Moore and Simmons would be the DE starters, no? Why would Moore come back if not a starter, maybe he plays enough to show he should be a high draft pick?
