Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (Two Big Ifs...)

Quinn hasn't single handedly brought Texas back "out of the wilderness." That's massive hyperbole.

Any player CAN get injured yes. That's not an argument. Quinn literally already WAS injured and he was a liability offensively. Sark put him at greater risk of becoming more injured than he already was. Thankfully we were able to run the ball, but that doesn't excuse the fact we kept an injured player who clearly couldn't throw the ball, in the game, when we had a fully healthy and more than capable backup QB whose proven already he can lead this team.

Any argument for keeping Quinn in the game is specious. It was much more risky than just having Arch hand the ball off. I assure you his hand offs to the RBs are just as good as Quinns.
Didn’t say Quinn single handedly brought Texas back, but everyone knows that every team only goes as far as their QB can take them, so…

Remember, Sark was a QB, and he knows the kind of QB he wants is one who will play through the pain and who wants to be out on the field.

I assure you, Sark knows what he is doing.

Sark was gambling with Quinns health. Like you said, we ran the ball over and over. He couldn't throw. The numbers back it up. Sark risked Quinn getting hurt more.

If you're so high on Quinn, it's imperative that he's as close to 100% for the biggest game of the year this next Saturday. Keeping an obviously injured Quinn in the game didn't serve that purpose.

Sark isn't infallible. He made the wrong choice. Hopefully he does the right thing if Quinn is hobbled against ATM. We can't afford a gimpy Quinn for 4 quarters.

I am just stating that from an orthopedic standpoint, we recommend at least 9 months before full return to sports. There certainly could be other factors involved for each individual such as concomitant meniscal repair (not meniscal resection) or other associated ligament injuries.
Gotcha. Thanks!

Ketch- Two questions:

If we lose Saturday do we drop to 9-12 and play on road.

If we win Saturday, but lose to Georgia…. Same question… where are we seeded?
I would hate to beat aggies , but lose to Georgia. Very physical 2 weeks .Georgia has cupcake GA tech this week , and don't tell me GA tech is good .
