Both the main models show it cold next week, with snow in North Texas, and maybe ice or sleet along 35 down to Austin. SA and Houston not showing any winter precip at the moment.
GFS shows lowest tems in DFW around 18, 20s in Austin, SA, and Houston. Euro shows a little colder, low teens in DFW, upper teens to 20 in Austin, low 20s SA, 25 Houston.
Both of these show the winter precip in the late Wednesday to Thursday time frame next week. It's early though, still 8-9 days out. It's close enough in the cycle that it's likely that at least some cold and precip will happen, but it could still change to warmer and be all rain, or ice in Dallas, or not much precip at all. We will see.
