So, did anybody read this from top to bottom?

Allow me to give my encapsulated version of translation--

Fvck you. Fvck your privacy. Fvck your private text messages, emails, places you travel, phone contacts, email contacts-- fvck it all. In fact, you won' even gain access to our site soon if you don' agree to let us steal everything in your phone and use it to sell you more sh!t and to sell your info to others so we can make more money.

If Mark Zuckerberg can stand before our dumb a$$ Congress people, break the law, lie to them, make billions and get away with it, we are going to follow the same model.

So, in short, fvck you very much.

Sincerely,

Rivals 24/7 $port$

When I logged on this morning, I was prompted by a new "privacy" agreement (I was on my phone) and the agreement was about a 5 minute read. At the bottom of it I was given two choices-- "I agree" and "remind me later".

Rivals stated that you will be giving them access to all your data--- just like Facebook asks for.

Try getting on with your phone.

I did it from my computer. I was going to search rivals for the policy. It redirected me to the new privacy policy when I wet to rivals.com. Apparently rivals has been bought by something called oath media and that is their terms of use.

Oath media????
That's a very patriotic sounding name for a company that plans to go in balls deep, dry. I think I may be seeing my last days on rivals. I think it said the security policy kicks in on may 24.

I’m on my phone here 80% of the time, nothing changed or happened with me.

How far does bell live from you? Notice anything out of place on your house or property?

Lol at bell being tech savvy enough to operate anything more complicated than a microwave.

Chill out, bro. It'll be fine. No need to stop posting here. We'd really miss your humor, candid opinions and football savvy.

Mm--- go on my twitter account-- it happened again just now. I took a screen shot for you. No clue how to teitter link sh!t onto here because sofa king wee tart ed when it comes to tech.

MM, much love for ya, but I'm sorry clob is right. People need to start taking this invasion of privacy crap more seriously. My days may be numbered as well. I haven't seen this new prompt yet, but you can bet your ass I won't agree to it.

Guys, I'm not saying that its right. I have no control over Rivals implementing something like this, nor do any of the other mods. I still have yet to be prompted for any kind of privacy terms.

clob, FYI I don't do Twitter.

This is coming from Verizon. Data is worth money, They offer a free service in order to get data to sell. They paid 4.5 billion for yahoo. Gotta get some returns on that investment.

I just received an email for this, not a prompt. So yes, I read it as if you agree to these terms they get access to you and data, including emails.
I hope I’m wrong.

You are not wrong. I just got the same email.

This is bullsheet of the highest order. They are doing the same thing to people on the pay site as well. @LonghornMM any word from on high?

I just got that e-mail as well, Clob and Metcalf are right, privacy is becoming an afterthought to most. Like LonghornMM I don't do Twitter. I would hate to see this forum fade away but if most of us are already being screwed by Zuck or another platform, perhaps it's time to consolidate.....I know there is already a few Longhorn sites on Facebook, but this group feels like home. Maybe we can form a closed group on Facebook? Only allow in well-known members. Hold a super secret ballot on Belldozer....

Email me MM and I will forward it to you... unless you already have it.

I got the email. Sure it wasn't eskimo hut? Seriously, the are a few here who post on surleyhorns. Maybe go there but less nasty here. Not a fan of all the theft of info either so ideas are welcome.

I received it from Yahoo yesterday.

I think even people like Clob that take time to read those things would be shocked at how much of our information is rolling around
out there. People been signing up for stuff for years.

Either get our stellar politicians to regulate it or have the business community self regulate.

Now that's a couple of great choices.

I got the same prompt using my phone a couple of days ago too. I selected "Remind Me Later". At the point where I can't do that anymore . . . well, buh bye. Been nice knowing ya.

I like and value my privacy.

I don't use the app. I use chrome incognito mode on my phone and computer. I haven't been prompted yet.

If you use Facebook or Gmail (or one of almost all other free email services), this is not significantly different from privacy policies you've already been agreeing to for many years.

Not on facebook, I dropped my Gmail account.

Am I the only one here that wants to sue the sh!t out of the intelligence agencies for stealing my emails, text messages, phonne calls, and Google searches for chick on chick porn?

You don't care about them stealing your searches for angry midget porn?
