Johnny Paycheck is more in the class with David Allen Coe. Certainly these guys have their place in country music and I really like a lot of what they have done. However, they can never be put in the class with Willie, Merle, Etc.

I absolutely agree. They are both true outlaw country heroes but Coe's longevity alone has been impressive. Paycheck derailed himself early and once he went to prison he was pretty much done. Really sad story too. Died fairly young and dead broke. George Jones graciously agreed to pick up the tab for his funeral expenses.

It was...and I didn't post the list. Different person. Lists are generally by whoever that person likes and does not represent things accurately sometimes. If the arguments is who sells the best then that changes everything.

What I said was most people could only name a couple songs and that I only remembered one as I sat there that minute. Tiger by the Tail was my favorite Buck Owens song. that was my point. I don't claim to know everything there is to know about country music or any other kind. I know that Willie Nelson is (to most people) better than Buck Owens. Streets of bakersfield and act naturally are pretty good too.
You need to show the post where I said Buck Owens was not in the Hall of fame or the post that shows I did not know it.
