OT: The Future of Cursive Handwriting

I see it as pretty much dead for widespread use outside of novelty purposes in America. Most states do not require it be taught in school anymore. I think it is important for two reasons - 1) I believe there is a relationship between the actual, real-life pen and the word - cursive is an intuitive and artistic action of writing. 2) All of our historic American documents are written in cursive; the Constitution, etc. People should be able to read and understand the writings of their country's founders IMO.

Do your kids learn cursive in school?
