OU Sux Donkey Dong thread of ill repute

Micco, this is the first time since 2011 that both teams are undefeated.
Yes, both teams are undefeated for the first time since 2011. Let's hope that year's results continue for at least the next week. ;D

Another tidbit someone mentioned to me...neither team has faced a top 40 offense. OU played #41 SMU, and Texas has faced #45 Rice and Kansas (although Kansas did not have their starting QB in the game, so I don't think that should count).

Which means neither team has really faced a very potent offense. Certainly, OU hasn't faced a RB as good as Brooks, and Texas hasn't faced a passing attack as good as OU's.

I'm not sure the arbitrary number of "Top 40" is more relevant than the arbitrary number of "Top 41". But at some point as stats go south, there's a breakover line from being tested to just being in a game. Surely the Iowa State game shouldn't have been as difficult for OU as the SMU game, and it wasn't after OU figured them out (they were doing some things on the OLine they hadn't done all season).

Can't go this year, but this is the year you would want to go. It may end up being like a 2007 score of 28-21 or something like that. I do believe it will just about go down to the wire, I can see OU scoring in the last few minutes to make it a one-score game, and Texas will have to run the clock out. Something like that.

Yeah...I think that guy is reaching. Thats not bulletin board material. That's just someone saying next week is the most important week to date. If someone feels like that's a slight they're looking to be slighted.

Here are some of the other quotes by Sooner players:

"Obviously last year happened," linebacker Danny Stutsman (same guy mentioned in the above article) said. "Been through the fire, been scarred up. But we're ready to go, man. We're excited. We've been looking forward to this since last year. I'm really excited for what we can do."

(WR Jayden) Gibson said the team doesn't talk about the blowout because it's confident in its response.

"I'm not going to sit here and talk about next week," he said. "I don't want to talk about them. I'm not going to talk nothing about next week. Everybody knows what time it is, everybody in our locker room knows what time it is, I know what time it is.

"Last year, it hurt real bad and everyone remembers it and that's all that needs to be said about that. We need to have a great week of practice, a dedicated week of practice. We need to make sure that we're executing on the highest levels. ... We've got to go out there and get it done."

I think Texas has their attention. It's more about preparing for this week than wolfing about what OU is going to do to you guys.

OU got totally embarrassed last year, we’re better this year we think but nobody is going to talk smack on either team I don’t believe

Micco there are 2 big reasons that Texas has changed. Our defense is really good the best defense Oklahoma will see this year and it's really deep. Better coached you won't see a defense with half of the players out of position anymore.

One big advantage the sooners have had over us is they've a lot of players who could take it to the house just like that. But we can finally match Oklahoma on that. No more Tom Herman dominate time of possession anymore.

Oh, I totes agree. Texas under Sarkisian has transformed back into a national powerhouse. Not going to get any argument from me. The culture at Texas has changed.

One of the things I love most about Brent Venables is the culture at OU has changed as well. Our defense still doesn't have elite talent, but they're extremely well coached, and like Texas, are rarely out of position anymore. They attack as a team for a change. I really like what BV's done.

I'm sure we have weaknesses and you guys will exploit them. I'm sure Texas has weaknesses and we'll try to exploit them as well. But Texas just seems like a better well-rounded group. You don't have a major part of your offense that is struggling like our run game. Which, historically, is one of the bigger statistics in this game. The team that runs the ball better usually wins.

Sorry but I disagree. KU, WVU, and at BYU looking tougher than anything on our remaining schedule. Not that either is that tough. Whole lotta hot garbage in Big 12 this year. Poor Brett. 😂

Marvin Mims had spoken of how much things changed under Venables a lot of them left. So I guess what's left are players who are all in under Venables.

There's a lot of similarities between Venables and Sarkisian first year. That both had losing seasons. With Sarkisian it was the offensive line with Venables it was the defense. Last year Kelvin Banks was the number one recruit partly because of that. Maybe Peyton Bowen is that recruit for Oklahoma. I haven't seen much of Oklahoma how's Bowen playing?

Look I appreciate the man's enthusiasm. But I've grown really tired of seeing his frat boy/fb player wannabe/5'8" 150 lb ass on the sidelines. You know when USC was on top they had celebrity fans to. But Snoop and Will Farrell stood in the back and left the players alone. Against Alabama we had 2 Matthew McConaughey sightings. You know how many Vince Young sightings we saw? 0. Same with Colt McCoy. Wth?

He's 5'8 on a good day. Smells funny too. Every time I've seen the dude (going back to 1993) he just smells funny. I don't know if it's the patchouli oil or the reefer-- but the dude has some odoriferous eminations. (<----- that thar's a 5 dollar words phrase)

I believe it’s his aversion to regular personal hygiene practices.
Why do rich people decide that taking a shower is not necessary??

Outstanding for a true freshman. He's making a bunch of plays when he's on the field. Already has an interception, and a blocked punt as well.

We need those big beefeters on the DLine right now. Looks like some of those are coming, but you can never have too many.

Because they know p*ssy don’t care about smell or appearance as long as you got money.

We got a little white receiver they call G-Freaky that may house it in the RRS. He's kind of like Drake Stoops but faster. Got to watch them little whitey's they'll sneak up on you

besides that, the video of Bongo Joe, "Blessing the Mood" is awesome and cringy all at the same time.

Should be an entertaining game, hopefully moreso in our favor.

We have had lapses in pass coverages whether due to selling out for the run or simply blown coverages and the air attack is the 23' sooner bread and butter.

We're not super elite at anything but are pretty good at everything this year. Our big uglies performance have been the biggest difference imo.

Could be a barn burner but I'm thinking somewhere in the 38 - 34 range. Texas keeps the hat.
