Which school's Texas recruiting irritates you more: Oregon, Ohio State or Georgia?
Note I only considered 5.9 and above rated recruits as someone whose loss would significantly irritate you.
Also, note this is only out-of-state schools. Not A&M, TxTech, SMU, TCU, Houston, etc
Georgia 2023: 5.9 4-star WR Anthony Evans III
Georgia 2024: 6.1 5-star LB Justin Williams and 6.1 5-star DE Joseph Jonah-Ajonye and 5.9 4-star OL Michael Uni
Georgia 2025: -0-
Ohio State 2023: 6.0 4-star cornerback Calvin Simpson-Hunt
Ohio State 2024: 5.9 4-star LB Peyton Pierce and 5.9 4-star RB James Peoples
Ohio State 2025: 6.1 5-star cornerback Devin Sanchez and 6.1 5-star LB Riley Pettijohn
Oregon 2023: four 5.8 and below players
Oregon 2024: 6.0 4-star DB Aaron Flowers
Oregon 2025: 6.1 5-star WR Dak Moore, 5.9 4-star cornerback Darian Brew and 5.9 4-star DE Tobi Haastrup
Don't say Alabama, in 2023-2025 they only got one 5.9 or above that we really wanted and it was 6.0 4-star Jalen Hale. We were fed up with 5.9 4-star Aeryn Hampton's wishy-washy behavior. We liked another QB better than 6.1 5-star Keelon Russell and never seemed excited about 6.0 4-star Ty Haywood. I guess if you go back farther than the last three years to prime Saban days, but that is ancient history now.
I know some may want LSU, but realistically the close losses that hurt were often Louisiana players. The only 5.9 Texas players to LSU in 2023-2025 are 5.9 4-star Weston Davis, 5.9 4-star LB Charles Ross, and 6.0 4-star cornerback Javien Toriano. They got a number of other 5.8 players. Given we stole 6.1 5-star Arch Manning and 5.9 4-star Derek Williams from Louisiana, that blunts any hurt quite a bit.
5.9 4-star WR Jaden Greathouse and 5.9 4-star WR Braylon James are the only 5.9 or above players going to Notre Dame from Texas in this period.
