- Undergraduate transfers: Must enter the NCAA transfer portal by January 18 to be eligible immediately
- Graduate transfers: Have until February 1 to announce their intentions
- Spring portal entrants: Cannot play within the league during the college football season
- Players who transfer within the conference: Must transfer before February 1, or they must sit out for a year
- Players who transfer out of the conference: Are immediately eligible to play wherever they go
